Best

Prices seem slightly high but not beyond reach and they never put out coupons, but I find that to be the only downside. Always the same staff and they remember you everytime, it'...

Worst

Wow, how this place ever got to number 4 is beyond me. People must be too polluted on the fishbowls to remeber the bland food. I didn't care for the water in the bottom of thw p...

Ghetto Location, Horrible Food 4/19/2008

Location is difficult to find, restaurant hung up on me 3 times when trying to find it, and it did not show up correct on my navigation. Should have been a sign. Atmosphere was family style Italian, very o-l-d decor, to be politically correct. Our 7 top was herded in. Waiter was brief, never gave his name, no personality, was pushy and scared one of 3 kids. The menu description of the food did not match the product. This was absolutely not just the worst for the money - the worst Italian food I have ever eaten, and I have worked for Frank Grisanti's in Memphis, TN - so I know real Italian. 6 out of 7 in my group actually could not even finish our food, 3 out of 7 got sick from the grease. This restaurant was actually recommended by my hotel, and was packed at 4:30 in the afternoon, so it led me to believe it was a decent place. more

AWFUL RESTAURANT 11/29/2007

HORRIBLE LOCATION, DIRTY PLACE, somebody said made him felt at home? it was not fancy not nice, a lot of noise BAD FOOD EGG PLANT PARMESAN WAS DISGUSTING. the otrer meals had tons of garlic. everything but italian .SERVICE WAS OK, BUT FOOD TAKES FOREVER. I don't know how people like it. overprice for what it was. \r I will never ever go back again. don't try it more

worst restaurant in my life!!! 11/29/2007

I have try many many restaurats and this one was the worst. knif was dirty, fork was uneven, lots of bread (hard, old) food fried and refried. but not only that they say the best seller is shrimp something, which was tons of butter and garlic... more

poor on all levels 4/24/2007

This cannot be considered good food. The red sauce was bland & tasteless, pasta was mushy.. Pros: parking , fast seating Cons: caliber of food was poor more

Great Restaurant on the Hill 10/13/2006

We were promptly seated, promptly waited on, and promptly served. The food was very good and plentiful. Down home atmosphere, friendly people. Good prices. PROS: Great house dressing, Great Italian nachos. Reasonable prices. CONS: None more

A really fun place to eat. 6/30/2006

We have been going to Rigazzi's for over 30 years and still enjoy the dining experience in the restaurant. They provide a quality product for a reasonable price and despite the wait the dining is worth the wait. A good place for a family to go on a limited dining out budget. Pros: Good value for your dollar Cons: Sometimes have a long wait for a table due to volume of business more

Killer toasted ravioli 6/19/2006

Rigazzi's is one of the best of the many excellant restaurants in St. Louis. I do not come into town without a visit to the friendliest place on The Hill. The food is wonderful, the service is incredible and you won't find a better tasting cocktail than when it's put in a fishbowl. As usual, can't wait to dine with you again. -ggd- more

Terrible Food And Service Is Even Worse! 6/19/2006

We went to Rigazzi's on a Saturday afternoon. When we arrived, it was not overly busy at all. We waited over 1 1/2 hours for our food and never did receive it. What we did get to eat (salads and drinks) was less than mediocre. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone! The staff is incredibly slow and rude. more

Great Experience 5/9/2006

I went to Rigazzi's on a Friday night with a bunch of buddies. Although there was a wait, it was well worth it. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. I had pasta arrabiata, and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. A couple of my buddies had pizza, and they loved it. The beer was cold, the service was good, and the food was well worth the wait. I recommend Rigazzi's to anyone looking for good Italian food at a reasonable price. I will certainly be back there soon. Pros: Food, Service, Beer Cons: Wait Time more

Worst on the Hill 3/10/2006

We've been to many Italian restaurants around town, and this one ranks at the bottom. It's sad when we would pick the Olive Garden over this place. Though the menu is large, all nine people in our party disliked their food: including pizza, pasta ala lombardi, chicken parmesan, toasted ravioli, and shrimp scampi. They state that the pizza was ranked top ten in the nation back in 1995; if true, aliens must have abducted the chef and installed an imposter in his place. Lastly, our waiter was rude, and the overall service was poor. Pros: prompt seating Cons: Food, Service more

Nothing special 11/30/2005

Rigazzi's offers decent American Italian food in a comfortable and kid friendly environment. The prices are fair and the service is acceptable, but if you are looking for really good Italian food I would look elsewhere on the Hill. more

Don't waste your time! 11/11/2005

A group of co-workers met on a week night for a get-together and small wedding shower. When I arrived at the restaurant, the host couldn't even tell me where my other co-workers where sitted. I had to walk in the back and find them myself. Our party was sitted against a side wall where all of the servers used as a main means of bringing out everyone's food. We were lucky not to have anything spilled on us. We ordered approximately 7 different dishes and not one of us enjoyed them. The food was plentiful but bland tasting. I ordered spaghetti & meatballs and my food was put on a plate that was too small. Our server did wait on us promptly and the food was brought out quickly but we had to ask for additional bread and drinks. Not recommended!! Pros: Plenty of parking, large dining room, moderate prices Cons: Bland food, no large groups, crowded seating more

Good Italian Food 11/8/2005

I went to Rigazzi's for the first time last Thursday and I have to say I was impressed. I had the chicken parmasean and it was very good. As far as the prices, it's about average for any nice place you go in St. Louis. The parking is rather ghetto though. Pros: food, service Cons: ghetto parking area more

Not Real Italian 10/31/2005

This is not real Italian. I am a pretty plain eater, so I usually get the traditional sphagetti and meatballs - they can't even get this to taste good. My husband wasn't impressed with his either. I also ordered an alcoholic beverage that I thought would come in a fish bowl because of the picture it was advertised in, but they brought it to me in a smaller glass. This place came highly recommended, but we will never go there again. more

The Home of the Fishbowl 10/28/2005

Rigazzi's is a decently priced Italian restaurant on the Hill. The decor of the restaurant is not real fancy, but makes you fell at home. The service is good, as is the food. The red sauce could use some meat in it, but that is a personal preference. The item that really stands out is the Fishbowl, which is an extremely large glass of any beverage (typically alcoholic) that you like. more

Rigazzi's 10/7/2005

Rigazzi's is a wonderful Italian restaurant on The Hill in St. Louis. They have so many choices it's always hard to pick what you want to eat. They have a truely Italian atmosphere and the service is always great. The prices are pretty reasonable and the food is excellent what more could you ask for? Try it out for yourself. more

Food is ok, service is spotty. 9/26/2005

OK food, bad service. We ordered toasted ravioli as an appetizer: a St. Louis favorite and hard to get wrong. Our order looked old and tasted off. We struggled through the remainder of the appetizer and hoped the pizza would be better as the reviews indicated. We had pepperoni pizza and it was the best part of the meal, but in comparison to other places, was mediocre. So you know, they were voted best pizza in '95... and apparently they lost the recipe. Service was the worst part of the experience. We went to the bartender after waiting 15 minutes for our bill. She gladly helped and we cashed out in no time. I wouldn't recommend this place, unless you're willing to put up with average food for inflated prices. (The whole meal came out to $30, a bit too much for the poor taste and service in my opinion). Pros: Good for kids Cons: Bad Service, Bad Toasted Ravioli more

Great Italian Restaurant 8/31/2005

This is one of my favorite restaurants in St. Louis, located on "The Hill". They have a daily buffet from 11am 'til 2 pm. Don't miss it!!! Everything Italian that you can imagine. My mouth waters just thinking about it! They have the most incredible veal parmesan, mashed potatoes, green beans, mmm good!!! Those are just my favorites, there is much more. Over 200 menu items! more

Rigazzi's- Great if you know what to expect 7/28/2005

Don't go to Rigazzi's if you are looking for ""fine"" Italian dining. You also need to know what to order. Rigazzi's definitely goes a bit overboard when it comes to the amount of sauce, butter, or oil they use. A friend ordered the scampi on a bed of pasta. The look of dismay on his face-- when he got halfway through and discovered the pool of oil on the bottom of the plate-- was priceless. (I now know what not to order!) Fortunately, I like a lot of red/white sauce. I also like generous amounts of garlic & butter on my cheese garlic bread. I definitely recommend their toasted ravioli, as well as the canelloni. Unfortunately, they changed from Provel to cheddar on their dinner salad... The fishbowls are great, and so is the casual atmosphere. It's obvious from the other reviews, you either love this place or hate it! Pros: Toasted ravioli!!, Casual atmosphere, Fish Bowls of beer Cons: Wait is likely, Can be greasy, Parking situation more

Still the Best 7/21/2005

We've been going to rigazzi's since 1975, it's still our favorite restaurant, you may wait, I have been there for quite a while to get seated and waited for my food, but in my book it worth the wait. we have friends that visit us from Nashville and this is always the place they want to come, we've never had a bad meal here. HIghly recommended more
