Riga European Bakery & Cafe

Had a chance to pick up a selection of items form Riga. The biscotti were devine. the ""crumb"" was very nice. The brioche was also very pleasing. It had that buttery croissant flavor. Their scones were a great addition to my morning coffee. I had two to share, an apricot and a cranberry. The problem was everyone in the office wanted a piece of what was in the bag. When everyone was done grazing and had left, I pulled out my ace in the hole...the napoleon! And, if you have been going to that other place in the valley for a burnt almond cake, Riga does one too. They come in 4"", 6"", and 10"". Under new ownership for the last 15 months, this little family bakery is putting out some great pasteries using their own family recipes. This was a really great European Bakery, very authentic! Excellent breakfast pastries (try the spinach and feta croissant!) and very good lunch time sandwiches made on their fresh bread. The eclairs and biscotti are just OK here. The creme filling of the eclairs is too sweet and pastry puff, too thick. The owners of the restaurant are very friendly and are good with the customers. They also offer a variety of pastries and sanwiches. Pros: parking nearby, next to starbucks more
