Bad Customer Service- they forget who pays their paychecks!!! 12/13/2008

I will never go to RICK'S Cleaners again! They are rude, nasty and have terrible customer service!!!!!! You can not treat customers the way do- I arrived at their store at 4:55 to pick up cleaning that was due "" after 5"" and the girls looked at me and refused to open the door to give me my cleaning. They were there and were merely choosing not to help their customer!! They have lost my business forever!!!!! They forget who is paying their paychecks- the customers!!! more

Rick's Cleaners is the WORST WORST WORST place to get your clothes dry cleaned- its a shame because their prices are great some I'm sure most people just bite the bullet and go due to the prices (I know I did). BUT I HAVE HAD IT WITH THEM. EVERY SINGLE TIME they take buttons of my clothes are take the clips off my skirts and EVERY time I argue that they need to fix it but they never have saying its not their responsibility which amazes me since there is a sign right there in the store that reads ""any complaints about clothes must be made within 24 hours and you must have your receipt."" I check my clothes right there every time before I leave and they just look at me and say ""sorry."" Screw this place- they are horrible. I am telling you....its worth the money to pay more for your dry cleaning because this place takes the value out of your nice dress clothes in one visit because you will get them back nice and pressed but missing buttons, zippers, clips etc. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Pros: CHEAP Cons: HORRIBLE PEOPLE, SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE more

My favorite clean stop, and I've tried them all! 9/8/2008

I've been in Austin for over 20 years now and searched all around for a good dry cleaners. Completely unsatisfied with high prices and poor service of well-known cleaners (Reids, Jack Browns, etc.), a friend recommended Rick's to me. They do great work! It's the most inexpensive around, and havent one problem with their service. The most convenient thing is there's a location by my daughters school, and by my work. I walk in and their counter worker's know exactly how I want my clothes now that I've been going for a while! Pros: Inexpensive, Service, Stain Removal Cons: No Same Day Service (1 day) more

The Worst Customer Service Experience of 2007 7/10/2007

I never write reviews, but after today's experience I had to find a way to expose the one of the worst customer service experiences that I have ever had. After picking up an order earlier in week, I realized I was missing a couple of shirts, so I returned this evening to pick up the remainder. I hustled home from work and arrived at exactly 7pm, closing time. The door was locked, but the two women were standing inside right near the door closing down shop. There they stood, counting money, as I tried to plead with them that is was still 7 o'clock, not a minute later, and all I needed to do was pick up an incomplete order, which was already paid for. They ignored my knocks and ""pleases"" for a minute or so and then began holding their hands over their ears (as if to say they couldn't hear me) and then holding their hands up showing 7 fingers and waving them back and forth, rubbing it in that I was SOL. . . real mature. The counter is literally about 8 feet from the door, so God forbid they open it and have a real customer interaction. . . Its not like they couldn't hear every word I was saying (pleasant words too, considering they still had my shirts hostage). To make matters worse, one of the women's boyfriends was in his car waiting for a pick-up and watching my trials. He leaned his head out and said ""What is your problem, can't you see it is closed?"" I replied, ""I bet if the manager was here, I would be having a different customer experience right now."" He replied, ""yeah, go ahead, you should tell her, she is a bitc* anyways."" Needless to say, Rick can have those shirts because I am never returning. Thanks for the great experience. Keep staffing mature individuals like those two and I am sure the fine folks of West Lake will embrace you forever. Pros: Price Cons: The worst customer service ever, so much for a neighborhood place. more
