my friend goes here and took me on a tour of it. i also went to his graduation. you can major in just about anything. classes go day and evening so that you are able to work and go to school. the sports teams are also top notch. i have been to some of the owls games. the students really get behind the teams and cheer them on. also it is in a good location. more

As a student, I have found that Rice University is one of the best colleges in the nation. With a campus that is isolated at the same time as it is located in the middle of a bustling city, Rice is a college that offers a lot. It has a lot of excellent disciplines and you can major in virtually anything. It does not have a greek system but instead has a college system that act as dormitories. I loved this school and I encourage anyone to apply and go to this school. more

Princeton of the South 8/18/2005

Since moving to Houston I have heard Rice referred to as the Princeton of the South. That is a pretty amazing reputation to have earned. My company hirers numerous Rice graduates every year and we are never disappointed with our choice. They have a great engineering school, great sports, art and cultural activities. All in all it is a very well rounded place to send your kids to. Best of all it is located near the Houston downtown and Galleria areas. A great place to go to school. more

Rice University 8/5/2005

Rice University has it all. Its reputation as a top notch university, its proximity to a real city, its incredible campus, and its great baseball team. The university is constantly expanding and has new dorms and new buildings. The students are extremely smart and the professors are some of the best in the world. It is located in one of the best parts of Houston and right around the corner from Rice Village, an area of shops and restaurants. more
