Editorial review from Citysearch 7/22/2012

I have eaten at all the rib restaurants and Rib Rack is hands down the best ribs in the area. The place is dark and small but the ribs are worth it. The best corn bread and barbeque dipping sauce for the steak fries. The He-Man portion is huge (about 16 ribs) and meaty. I don't know why anyone would leave a negative review unless they just don't know what is good food. more

Best Wings in the Northeast! 11/20/2008

I've been going to RR since 1990. That was the first time I had ever eaten a buffalo wing. After my first taste of the hot wings, I was hooked. Then I tried their baby back ribs, and they were the tastiest things I had ever eaten in my life...their food is very addictive. There were only a couple of times in the last 19 years that I was not completely satisfied with my meal from RR - not a bad percentage considering I have their blue cheese running through my veins from all of the times I've eaten there. I only wish they would put the pork loin back on their menu. Pros: Ribs, Wings, Steak Fries, Stuffing. Cons: Would be awesome if they delivered. more

Worst Meal 8/1/2008

When I arrived, immediately I thought they forgot to pay the electric bill. I could hardly see to find my small booth with a rock hard seat. The cornbread was the best part of the meal. The Ribs tasted like they were bought from the ""Day Old Meat Counter"", and smeared with Kraft Bar B Que Sauce watered down. The Ribs are more bone and fat than meat. My son got sick after we left. Definately avoid this restaurant ! ! Pros: Cornbread Cons: Food more

Don't bother eating here 2/16/2007

Worst $40 spent on a meal in years - ""He-Man"" portion of beef ribs totaled 7 ribs, and if you took all of the meat off the bones and weighed it, it probably didn't weigh 1/2 pound. The 1/2 chicken was dry and tatseless. The baked potato was not even washed before being cooked. The skin was dirty\r Save yourself some grief and go to Sweet Lucy's or even Dwights on Germantown Ave Pros: None come to mind Cons: food, parking more

Ribs TOO good. 2/13/2007

When I first went to the RibRack, I thought the food would be pretty low quality. Only because the store was low key and the lights were extremely low(not to mention I was 12 at the time.) Yet, once I at just the appetitizer corn muffin...I fell in love. The He-man is the best tray if you feel as though you can eat a whole cow, because they almost give you the whole cow on your plate, with some fries! You want it for two, it's also perfect. The ribs are cooked perfectly. The meat falls off the bone, it's tender, breat bbq sauce and tons of meat. Not like the other places I've eaten at where the ribs are 50% fat 50% meat. Also, the service is very nice and have never been rude to me for the 9 years I've been there. RibRack is ""Good Eating."" Pros: Food, Sevice, and Price Cons: Lighting, and small restaurant more

RibRack has been my favorite Philly barbeque place since I moved here from Alabama. The baby back ribs are succulent, falling off the bone. The sauce is tangy sweet, with just enough bite. Beef ribs & steak are very good. Generous portions. Slaw comes on the side. A huge sweet potato lets me claim a touch of virtue. Very much a neighborhood, low key, family friendly place - not a chain or fast food horror. Alcohol served, but a well-behaved crowd. Takeout till 10:30, but dining room closes around 9:30 or 10. Pros: generous portions, Good value Cons: street parking only, not open for lunch more

Our first visit 6/23/2005

The corn muffins they start with are awesome. The bbq chicken was the best I ever had. My wife had bbq ribs were very. Both were cooked to perfection. The wings we had were average, nothing to brag about. The service was outstanding. Looking forward to our return visit. Pros: BBQ chicken, BBQ ribs, Service more
