Oak Brook location good too 7/17/2006

Not being a fan of this type of food I have to say I was impressed. There was something out there for everyone to eat. The chicken and beef were good tasting. No heavy curry tastes. I would venture back again, and that says a lot for someone who is not into Mediterranean / Indian food. more

Large Buffet 6/2/2006

I was at Reza's for a luncheon and we enjoyed the lunch buffet. It was certainly a large buffet with many options. The fresh pita bread and hummus was delicious. Their salads were fresh and the farfel was wonderful. In fact, I enjoyed those items so much I didn't get to all of the other meat and vegetable options. I suppose I'll have to return. We were there at noon for the buffet and in my opinion it was too early for me to be eating meats and fish, but the lighter items, as I stated, the hummus, bread and salad was delicious. Parking in Andersonville can be a challenge but there are plenty of cute stores to shop and view while you are on Clark Street. more

Reza's 5/28/2006

We just had some food delivered from this place last night. We ended up ordering too much food, which was a good and bad thing I guess. Their dill rice was nothing to brag about and it was actually kind of smelly. Their hummus was excellent, but the pita bread that came with it was in a plastic bag and not even warmed. Their grilled meats were okay, I just found them to be kind of dry. We ordered a feta cheese special which was really good though. By far, not my favorite place for food. It was actually kind of disappointing and expensive. But a few menu items were good, like the hummus and feta cheese sampler.. more

Delicious 5/19/2006

This is my favorite place for Middle Eastern/Persian. I can go in jeans and tee, or dresed up. I generally avoide the buffet, but the menu items are consistently good--from the dolmeh to the lamb shanks to the kefta. Great for large and small groups. There is parking across the street but it fills up quickly. However, there is usually parking on Ashland a block west of Clark. more

Is it really that great 5/4/2006

I always hear such great reviews about this restaurant. But on my first trip here a few weeks ago, I wasn't too impressed. We visited for Sunday brunch, Just a suggestion - leave out some time to find parking, it took us 20 minutes to find parking. The restaurant inside was not all that great. It was really casual and looked like it could use a bit of a sweeping. The buffet was actually good and featured a good spread of Middle Easter food. The service though was terrible. We saw our waitress once as we started the meal because she came to give us our drinks. For the rest of them time she was gone. No refills or anything. My friend actually had to go up himself to find her so he could get the check. I don't think I will be coming back here again to pay $20+ for a place that does not even have decent service or that great of an atmosphere. more

Delicious Food, Inviting Atmosphere 3/24/2006

I enjoy going to this restaurant in Andersonville. The inside is warm-feeling, with soft-orangey lighting, brick walls and wood floors/beams. Even though the tables can get a little close, you probably won't feel crowded because the ceilings soar. Reza's has a range of vegetarian- and carnivore-friendly dishes, both appetizers and entrees. The dill rice is a favorite of mine, as is the lamb shank which, at about $11, is one of the best lamb/cost/taste deals in the city. Service is pretty good, but can be slow and, once in awhile, just a little surly. The wine list is also not bad and can be very affordable. At times, certain wines will be discounted in order to make way for new wines. The bathrooms are located in the basement and the stairs to get there are a little steep. The bathroom is usually clean, but nothing special. more

Good Food 2/19/2006

This is a great place to go for some healthy food. They have a huge menu and it is almost gauranteed that everybody in your party will find something they can enjoy. The offer vegetarian meals, meat, and seafood. The selection is amazing and the food is really delicious and fresh. What I like best is that most of the food is baked or grilled, which really cuts down on the oil and fat. They also have a good buffet, where you can sample many of their different menu items for one price. The food here is a bit on the expensive side, but it is well worth it for good food. more

Great Persian Food 12/27/2005

Reza's is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. This location is on Clark, whereas the other on is in downtown. Yet this one is no less elegant elegant. It still has the hard wood floors and dim lights but is a little less spacious. Beyond the nice ambiance, the food is absolutely wonderful. The menu is thick and it will take you a while to figure out what you want. My personal favorite is the lamb shank (make sure you order dill rice with it) and another favorite of mine is the koubadeh. If you're ever in doubt, try one of the combos. If you're a veggie or seafood lover, no need to worry, they have plenty of options for you. The average entrée is just under 15 bucks. Its a nice place to bring a date. Give Reza's a try, you will not be disappointed. more

Reza's - worth a visit 9/6/2005

A trip to Reza's is sure to be memorable. The food is middle eastern. The service is typically good. There is a wide variety of items on the menu, including many vegetarian options. They offer many lamb dishes and even beef shish kabobs for those who are less adventurous. I would recommend trying the dill rice that comes with the entrees. The lentil soup is also very good. more

Best Middle Eastern!!! 8/5/2005

This is the best middle eastern (Iranian) restaurant in the chicagoland area. They have the best kebabs and great deals for the family. You can order deals which includes appetizers, entrées, desserts and tea. I have to admit the kebab's are my favorite and they are just delicious. They always bring you rice. The service also is very good and every time I go this restaurant, I just love it again and again. I recommend this place to everybody who is not vegetarian. more
