I walked by this store a little over a year ago and fell forever in love with a simple black dress with a red collar. It fit perfectly and was very reasonably priced. I got no pressure from the owner or the sales people to purchase it, but I did. I've worn in over half a dozen times since then and always, always receive compliments on it when I do. Unfortunately, a well-meaning friend washed it (which is ok, I do that myself) and PUT IT IN THE DRYER last week. This, sadly, is not ok. But I called the store and spoke with the owner, who remembered me buying it. She gave me some free advice about how I might go about restoring it to its former glory. Based on my experience with Rene Rene, if I can't fix it, I will be going back to find my next true love :) Pros: Unusual clothing, prices, service Cons: None so far more

I will simply say this. Rene`, the owner is as sweet as anything. The customer service with the other ladies is really nice as well. And the clothing in here is excellent as far as design goes. BUT watch it! Look beyond all the smiling faces, they have a LOT of defective clothing here, such as holes, stains, etc. THEY WILL NOT TELL YOU ABOUT IT! Everything you try on, they will tell you it is out of this world on you! That you just look excellent in that dress! Even when it looks horrible on you! I am only saying be VERY careful there, they will sell you ANYTHING! I was looking for a simple, moderate, but classy, well-made dress that fits my figure well -- I'm Asian and slim. I couldn't find it anywhere else but at Rene. I tried on several of them and all of them were very nicely cut and pretty! Ended up buying only one because that was all I could afford. more

This shop is completely out of place in the Little 5 Points area, where most everything is shoddy, garish and very youth oriented. When I stepped in Rene Rene, I was immediately made to feel welcome by e sales person and then Rene, the designer took over, helping me find clothes that were suitable for my age and size. Most of the clothing, however, is either S/M or M/L and are knits. The S/M is supposed to fit 4-8. I am normally a 4, but very short. Not everything fit. However, with a lot of personal attention from Rene, I found 2 dresses that were flattering. Both were on sale. There was a third that needed taking in, and she offered it to me for $30 off as an alterations allowance. The designs were simple, a bit retro. Some of her knit fabric choices are a bit too lightweight and clingy (perhaps inexpensive) and don't drape as well as one would like. But the workmanship is good quality. Pros: Good service, good prices, unusual merchandise Cons: parking difficult, no range of sizes, would prefer a different neighborhood more

I received a gift certificate from this store. The owner, Rene, refused to refund the money and nothing in the store looks good on me! I have spent a LOT of shopping time trying to spend my credit, yet she refuses to refund my money. If you are not 5.8 and 110 lbs. forget wearing anything in this store. I also found the owner, Rene, to be very patronizing. more
