The Renaissance Fesitval is an amusment facility that starts around labor day weekend and goes every weekend through the beginning of November (if I remember right). The theme is basically celebrating the medeval times of england.
The Fesitval is in Kansas City, KS, not to be confused with Kansas City, MO. It is by the Verizon Ampitheater.
Its great for families and has about something for everyone. The food has always tasted good to me, mostly the turkey legs which are a must to try if you visit this place. Pizza on a stick is also one of my favorites.
There are alot of shops, about 40, that specialize in everything from glasswork to palm reading.
The shows are wonderful attractions also. Some must-see's are the jousting and the human chess board. You can also join in with full-contact battles, where they suit you up in armor and let you go at it yourself. There are approx. 10 stages throughout the grounds that have different shows that include comedians, jugglers, animal shows, and pretty much whatever you can think of.
If my memory serves me correctly I believe that the ticket prices are about $13-15 per adult. The usually have promotions with various companies to get a dollar or two off. If you are in the Kansas City Metropoliton area around this time frame it is a great way to spend the weekend.
