The ExperienceBuilt on a sprawling Woodinville estate, the Redhook Brewery is enchantingly perfect with all aspects intricately planned. Hops grow on wooden trellises surrounding the beer garden. The tour area, though not extensive, was designed with a presentation in mind. The 40 minute experience begins in a spacious room with tables for setting tasting glasses down between fills as the guide relays the brewery's story, with the occasional Ballard joke (where Redhook began). After the brewery's history and an explanation of the distribution process, you'll move into another area to gaze at the large stainless steel fermentation vats, where alcohol is produced, before ending the tour with a peek at the bottling machinery. The BackgroundRedhook Ale sold its first pint of beer in Seattle on August 11, 1982. To cope with increasing demand, the company opened the Woodinville brewery and pub in 1994.
