12/04/2013 ~ I just have to voice my complaint!!! My friend who was visiting from out-of-state called Red & White last night (on my recommendation), for a cab to come and take her to the airport for an early morning flight. She had asked the dispatcher when she called if the driver could come to the back of the house because she had excessive and heavy luggage and she was told that could be arranged. It had started to snow and there was approximately 1"" of accumulation when the cab showed up just slightly late. We were outside ready and waiting in the back of the house while he was out front in the middle of the street honking. He refused to come around back and we, (two old ladies) were forced to cart the luggage around the house and out to the middle of the street because he said he didn't want to risk getting stuck in the snow in the alley. (What? did he think there was somehow way more than an inch out back?) When we got the bags out to the street he opened the trunk and didn't even offer to lift them into the trunk. He was rude in word and action.\r My sister and I have been using Red & White cab almost exclusively for 30+ years. And I have always recommended them to all my friends, I will NEVER RECOMMEND them again! Calling for decent cab service in Minneapolis has now, in my opinion, become a crap shoot! This company is absolutely atrocious. I called 4 times in the last hour and a half, each time being told that they would send a taxi right away. I live about 5 minutes from downtown Minneapolis, so there should be no difficulty getting here in a timely manner. I never got any response from any of my calls. On the fourth call, after voicing my understandable anger and displeasure, I was yelled at by the operator and told that I wouldn't be getting any service with my attitude and she then hung up on me. Don't trust your plans to this company or there is a great chance you will end up sitting around your house waiting and missing out on anything you had planned. more

I couldn't believe the poor ratings this cab company has gotten, I have taken these cabs off an on for more than a year now and have been very pleased with the service provided. Being in need of reliable transportation more frequently now, I have even been able to get the same courteous driver each time when I asked if I could have his card. Terrific service and right on time every time I call! Thank you Red & White!! more

Made Me Miss My Plane 3/23/2012

I called this morning 3/23/2012 for a cab at about 4:00 am for a 5:00 am pickup on Minikahda Court in St. Louis Park, MN. It took the man on the phone over 20 minutes (I checked my phone after) to put my order in. First he had to hear me, I think he was deaf. Then he said he could not find my address in St. Louis Park in the computer. The company I work for, a financial institution down town on 2nd Ave used this company in the past so I had their number in my cell and in a pinch and against my better judgment called them. I need to mention, our division does not use this cab company anymore for many reasons, but I had the number and it was easy, so I thought. To make matters worse, the cab never showed. I called, and called and they said it was on the way. At 5:45 I finally called Airport Taxi to get me to the airport. Airport was at my door in 10 minutes and the driver even loaded my bag for me and unloaded it at the airport. I have now missed my flight even though I allowed an extra hour, so I have 3 hours to let the world know on every social media site not to use this company. Red & White Taxi in Minneapolis deserves a zero if you ask me. more


Agin, ther is nothing but probloms with this compony. I started to see at work the charges on accont had gone up even tho ride did not chang. I went home the other night, driver told me the mony was $5 more then usual is. He said he wood call the police if I did not pay. When I called the boss at compony I got lady Toya who said compony could do nothin bout driver and hung up on me. I called next day and the lady said tho yes I no the date and time I coud no show how I was charge mor mony. I took Blu and Whit tonite and fair was back to old price again. I never take Red & White again after being customer for 7 years. They are cheating mor and mor. Phone peple mean and not nice. Not good servic I tell my company chrge I work with two check our chrge on are accont because they are cheating my company two. Watch driver math and dont call with probloms they will hang up. No boss to fix probloms. more

Red & White Follow MN driving laws please. 5/21/2011

I have noticed a lot of Taxi Cab drivers do not know how to drive. They tend to not follow the laws of the road. Please stop going down the wrong way on a one way street. Please get off your cell phone or get a hands free set. Turn your lights on, it is night time, over cast, sun set and sun rise, raining, snowing. All require your lights to be on. Please use your blinkers they are required when turning. Please stop trying to run over the people in the cross walk they have the right of way. You can't drive 30 miles a hour in a parking lot. Do not cross 3 lines of traffic at once. No double parking while there is a line of cars behind you and your blocking the whole road. Now Red and White is not the worst they are good at take complaints. They are other taxi cab companies most worst. Most of those cab drivers can't read a map or street sign. Please train your driver before they hurt someone. Thank you more

Horrible Service - NEVER AGAIN 3/19/2011

Wow, what a crappy cab company. Ordered a cab on 3/19. After 30 minutes of nothing, I call back to check on the cab and the woman tells me the cab is 'close'. Ten minutes later still nothing. I call again. The woman who answered the phone informs me they called me TWICE (my phone never rang nor did they leave a message when they supposedly called) and they won't be sending me another cab. Huh, crazy? Then the woman hung up on me. What customer service, lady! Can guarantee I'm never calling them again and have already deleted their number from my phone. Only use Red & White is you want a no-show cab and sub-par customer service! more

Horrible, shady company and drivers!! 3/12/2011

The passenger door of a parked Red & White taxi flew open and knocked off my sideview mirror downtown Minneapolis last night on 6th & Nicollet at about 1 a.m. I pulled over to talk to the driver, but the taxi immediately sped off. I called the company to complain, but they took no responsibility and would not listen to me. Now I have to buy a new mirror because of the driver's irresponsible actions. NOT the way to run a business folks. Taxi drivers (or anyone) should not be allowed to flee the scene when THEY damage people's cars, it makes the company look awful. I am not surprised this company has so many bad reviews, and it looks like I am not the only one who has had to deal with a driver speeding away. I hope these guys go out of business. Since they refused to listen to me when I called, I will be filing a police report on Monday. Shame on you Red & White. I wish I could give negative stars. more

The cab stunk and he took the longest way . 3/2/2011

I was trying to be at my sisters in a decent time while my car was in the shop and I called this company and they came in about 2o minutes and they had some weird music playing but I really didn't care about that, I told him where I wanted to go and tried to tell him where to turn and he didn't listen. Instead he went right and went around the whole freeway and up Portland so it took more miles and more time out of both our lives. Which is usually around a 15 dollar drive in a cab turned into 27.48. which was crazy and I won't call them again. Sorry to say. more

Use Red and White Taxi. None. This past weekend I used them to travel from downtown Minneapolis. He dropped me off where I asked, but when it came time to pay he said his window slot was broken, so I had to get out of the car. All I had was a $100 bill, so I handed it to him and guess what happened.... He put the pedal to the metal, nearly running over my feet. I stood there, dumbfounded. Arms in the air in disbelief. I paid $100 for a $22 cab ride. Shame on you, Red and White. Never, ever, ever!! Trust this company. It's that simple. more


I have read and heard many BAD stories about Red and White.. Many Times they dump you out ANYWHERE they feel like it if you Chat to much or what not.. Today is the final call, I was rear end-ended into the park Nicolette health clinic parking lot! I was fingered and verbally assaulted by Cab # 259 !! I Quickly parked and the A hole had the nerve to hit it in reverse and try to run me over right at the clinic door !! My GAWD!!! Call the Cops!! Do NOT EVER get into a Red and White CAB!! unless you have a GUN to defend yourself!!.. Seriously!! This company should be SHUT DOWN!! Immediately Cons: Scammers more

Driver charged $20 to my card after I got out 2/16/2010

The ride itself was fine, but the bastard gave himself a $20 tip without my knowledge. I saved the receipt and called the manager, who told me to call back during ""regular business hours"". I work swing shift, so ""regular business hours"" is when I'm asleep. This was a massive inconvenience. Cons: Stole money more

Awful dispatcher just lost my business 2/5/2010

I've used Red & White repeatedly, for no other reason than their number somehow ended up in my cellphone address book. When I called from the light-rail train today to see if they could pick me up at the last stop to get me the rest of the way home -- as they've done several times before -- the male dispatcher rudely told me to call back when I was off the train, then hung up. When I tried to call back to tell him he just lost my business, no one picked up. Yellow Cab picked me up within three minutes and got me home right away. Cons: Lousy customer service more


I was parked in an SA parking lot, and the cab driver #264 was parked next to me. He kept trying to reverse at the same time as me, almost hitting my car several times. So I parked my car, got out and proceeded to tell him he has plenty of room to back up. So he backs up, then pulls forward slowly- purposely hitting the rear end of my car. So I yelled at him, kicked his headlight (cracked it). Then asked if he was going to hit me too. And yes, he was. He pulled forward and cut the turn just sharp enough to where he only hit my knee and sped off. I complained to the cop that was inside SA, and he said there was nothing he could do about it- besides tell me not to take Red and White cab again. So there you go. And this is only getting one star because a rating is required. Pros: nothing Cons: Cab driver hits people with his vehicle on purpose. more

Horrible service 11/21/2008

The cab driver took me to a gas station to get cash out to pay the fair. The cash machine was out of service, and the driver refused to take me to another location. He told me my only choice was to let him run my credit card. He had to estimate what the charges would be for the rest of the way to my location, despite my objections. Then I checked my bank account and saw that he had double charged me. These were not pending charges, but actual charges to my account. When I called in to have them reversed, management was very rude and treated me like it was my fault. NEVER, will I use this taxi service again! Cons: Rude drivers and management. Horrible Customer Service 9/27/2008

I left my phone in the cab tonight and not 5 minutes later we called back and the dispatcher was extremely rude to us and when we offered to pay the driver to come back so we could look they told us they would send him to our dropoff location. We waited for over a half hour and he never showed and when we called back to see where he was the dispatcher simply told us that he has no control over where the driver goes and told us to call manangement on monday. Again, the dispatchers were extremely rude to us and now I'm sure I won't get my phone back. We were even going to use the cab again when he came back so we could look to get to another location.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVEN IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDED ON IT! Cons: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE more

I have found that if a person has a problem that they can contact managment and try to resolve any issues. Red and White has been very helpfull in this respect. Worst Taxi Company in Minneapolis 2/25/2008

We called this taxi company at 1:15a.m. and the taxi did not show up until 3:15am so we were stuck waiting outside in the cold for over an hour. It was absolutely ridiculous. When we called to see where they were we were on hold for over 25 minutes. Do NOT use if you want to get home after the bar. Extremely unreliable. Cons: they simply don't show up more
