We went for a dinner date and were very happy with our choice to go there. Cozy, nice atmosphere, and we had a great server who was attentive. We had gumbo and loved it, the bread is quite good, but the absolute best thing I've eaten in a long, long time was the snapper dish with oysters and shrimp on top, it was spicy and you can taste the infused oil that the fish was sauted in. Amazing and I will have it again more

I was staying in the West end of Galveston and someone said I should try the food at the Red Snapper.... I am glad I did... I went on New Years Eve and the place was full, you would think service would suffer, but not here.... Fast maybe even faster than fast think because they wanted to fill the space again.... Food was great I had shrimp as an app and a seafood platter as dinner. I could eat all of the food and it was fresh and delicious .. Sad I went the day before I am leaving because I would go back... Look for it if you are in the area. more

I had the New Orleans Red Snapper with Alfredo Sauce covered in Shrimp with Potato Fritters - the best fish dinner I have had in a long time! Hubby's Grilled Shrimp were very large and plentiful. Awesome service too more

This was our 1st trip to Red Snapper but it wnu't be our last! My husband and I took a day trip to the beach today and decided to head somewhere different to eat and I'm glad we did! Was a cute little resturant,loved all the ship and sea life decor,very casual. I ordered the Sauted Filet of Fresh Red Snapper A La Grecque,LOVED,but if you don't like raw onions you might want to be cautioned. I love raw onions and that's what intrigued me and I was not disapointed! The hubby had a beautifully presented Seafood Platter,he ate every crumb more

This place has all the down home charm and awesome service you could ask for! I've heard good things about the food from people I work with, plus it had a bunch of positive reviews (for good reason). We tried the Lobster Bisque & Blackened Red Snapper. Served in large portions, came out hot, and was nothing short of AMAZING! All the food was fresh and well seasoned (not bland). When you go, ask for Gwen as your server. She has wonderful service, is spunky and upbeat, and reminds me of my favorite cousin! Worth a visit if you are in the area, plus it's so close to the beach, you can walk it if you aren't too full when you roll out of there. We will be stopping by again! more

This restaurant is one of my favorites! It has a great atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food. Most of their food comes with a nice but simple salad with delicious ranch, a choice of home fries, rice or baked potato and a veggie of the day. I would highly recommend getting the baked potato because it is so delicious and comes with a potato topping wheel. Some entrees that are just amazing are the shrimp Alfredo, chicken fried steak(I know, weird), and the fried shrimp. The fried shrimp are so delicious, I could seriously eat them everyday. They aren't too ""shrimpy"" tasting but the breeding on them is heavenly. The gumbo is also superb. People I go with usually try all sorts of their fish selection and are always satisfied. Every time I am down in Galveston, I find myself here. Sometimes you wait a little, but the waiters are very friendly and it is so worth it. Go here! more

This place is excellent! I had the bacon wrapped scallops and they were so delicious! The fresh bread and rice that came with the meal completed it! My husband had the jumbo fried shrimp and he loved it! My very picky 5 yr old got the kids spaghetti and she ate almost all of it, saying it was great. This place is more upscale and pricey than the local dives, but worth it for the fresh seafood. more

Been visiting the Red Snapper pretty much any time we're in the Surfside area. I think it continues to get better. The appetizer special of oysters fried in panko bread crumbs with a sriracha sauce was great. Our kids even liked them. Everything else we had was top notch, too. more

Love, love, love, this restaurant! Never had anything that was not wonderful. We always go at least once every time we come to our beachhouse. I recommend this restaurant to everyone who rents from me. Freshest food and almost the only place to get great tasting seafood year round. more
