I bought an Armstrong hi-efficiency furnace from R&B in 2003. On Friday, July 27, 2012, the furnace blower stopped and so did the AC. With no AC in July it was HOT! I called about 6PM and got a confirmed appointment for the next day, Saturday at 3:30 and much sooner than I expected. The next day, Saturday, two R&B technicians, Steve and Allen, showed up an hour or so early, found the problem almost immediately, repaired it, and were on their way in about 30 minutes. Furthermore, they advised me that it was still under warranty and there was no charge. This was a much better than expected experience in more ways than one! Very fast service- and that is important on a hot July day- no charge, no hassle, and cooler in no time. The customer service person and the technians are top notch professionals. What a great company!! Highly recommended. more

Very unprofessional! They damaged my appliances and my home during delivery (delivery courtesy of dumb and dumber) and have the audacity to insult me with an offer of about 10% of the actual repair cost. (I'm so glad I bought that homeowners policy) Way to treat your customers R & B! It'll probably cost 'em more in attorney fees now than it would have to handle it the right way from the start. Oh well. Life goes on. more

R&B came out to look at my AC unit, which was over 20 years old. Could not fix, but gave me a GREAT deal on HVAC & New water heater (also over 20 years old) They came out in 2 days and when the guy told me it would take 2 days to install and I said we could not be here for a second day, they called in a second guy with in the hour. Very HAPPY with the work, the price, customer service, and the financing options. THANKS R&B MY HOUSE IS COLD!!!!!! more

Refused To Honor Warrant 11/5/2010

Company refused to service installed furnace within warranty period. Demanded $85 service fee upfront to even examine an issue that was in warranty and validated by third part company. I would avoid utilizing this company at all costs. more


I purchased a freezer just over a year ago. I purchased an extended warranty. The freezer door developed some issue and needed replaced. This happened in July. The repair service for Roeker & Berger needed to order a new door. The door came in being the wrong size. This happened 3 times!! Last week Roeker & Berger sent a replacement door in to be installed, but they did not send in the complete door! The sales manager did send in a "loaner" which is considerably smaller than my freezer. He has told me he does not know what to do and said maybe they could look to replace the door and PRORATE the expense to ME!! YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING!! This is why I purchased an extended warranty. He has not returned my past two calls and I am waiting to hear from him again today. Meanwhile I have a broken freezer taking up space in my garage. Repeated early release from work to meet the repair people.GETTING NOWHERE FAST!! This should be replaced - it would have cost them less!! I will also contact the BBB and post messages to any blog and news site I can to warn people about this inferior service, more

Hot Water Tank 9/21/2009

Hot water tank went out over the wknd. Called around, they had the best deal going plus great financing. For the money, the professional crew they have, can't beat it. Of course, I hope i dont have to call them again, but if something comes up, they will be first on my list. Gentlemen who installed the tank were in and out in less than 30 minutes. more

Recker and Boerger is a great place to purchase home appliances. They are not one of the huge mass merchandisers, but they are experts in appliances. They will help you determine your needs and evaluate your options. Check out the scratch and dent department for steals on high end appliances. Most you cannot even see the flaw. more
