It has everything! 1/17/2006

I come here all the time for so many things! First of all they have great produce last summer they had the best tasting plouts. I love the meat shop because they sell specialty meats like quail and duck legs. They also have a many cheese shops as well for purchasing the real goos stuff. The have this dutch market where they sell all sorts of baked goods. Anything you want to eat you will find here, they have sold food, cheese steaks, Chinese food, Italian anything you can think of! I would recommend coming early to the market because some of the vendors get sold out very quickly. more

great place to visit 1/16/2006

The Reading Terminal market located in downtown Philadelphia is a great place to visit on the weekends. Its got a mix of local farmers, fishmongers and butchers. You get lovely old world italian sandwiches out here. there are a bunch of restaurants and bars in the market itself. There is plenty of paid parking close by. Its a lovely place to spend a couple of hours. more

Full of choices! 1/16/2006

Reading Terminal Market is located in Philadephia, near the Convention Center. It is packed with food stalls and stores selling many favorite Philadelphia foods. The choices are endless and there are lots of different cusines to choose from. Stop at Termini's for the best cannoli you will ever have and try a cheesesteak. Pick up a cookbook at the Cook Book Stall and find lots of fresh veggies and fresh flowers. more

Great for all 12/5/2005

When I want to treat myself I had on down to the Reading Terminal Market at 12th and Arch. There is something there for everyone. There are so many foods to choose from that you will find something that pleases you. What makes it great are the choices. Cheesesteaks, chinese food, turkey, coffee, desserts and so much more. There are also a lot of little shops to buy things. I especially enjoy the book sellers. Every Philadelphian has to go here, at least once. more

Great Food and Great Atmosphere 9/15/2005

This is where all good food starts in Philadelphia. Besides the great Amish stands, you can sample the best of what Philadelphia has to offer. I recommend DiNic's for a delicious roast pork sandwich, Termini's bakery for amazing, authentic Italian pastries (get the cannoli!!). The Mexican and Thai restaurant stands are always packed and I haven't had time to wait in line, but am planning a special trip! For local flavor, take a seat in the Beer Garden and have a cold one. You can sit and have a great meal at the Down Home Diner. If you are inclined to cook at home, there are amazing fishmongers, butchers and vegetable stands. This is really a treasure trove that is not to be missed. more

Great amish food, but too much of a tourist trap 9/14/2005

I dont understand how reading terminal turned into a food court!! now you can get thai, indian, greek food. Most of the good amish bakeries are only open on the weekends. That means they are only open on Saturday, because the market is closed in Sunday. Again, i think RTM is a big tourist trap. Nothing original. It gets very crowded on Saturdays. No real finds. If you do go on a Saturday, make sure you hit the Amish bakeries. Those are the only things worth checking out. more

Market in the City 8/14/2005

Reading Terminal Market is located between Filbert and Arch Streets between 12 and Street. Many people come to the Market for produce, meat, lunch, flowers. There a wide variety of specialty stores in the market and it is a good place to visit after visiting the Philadelphia Historic area. They have many different eateries in here, you can almost get food from all parts of the world. It's located across the street from the Philadelphia Convention center and 1 block away from the Marriott hotels. more
