ray st Clair is not the company everyone thinks it is 2/17/2016

1.people think going with this company that you'll get the best totally false. You don't actually get there employees doing ur work u get some backyard sub contractor. 98% of their in house crews are drug addicts going to dope clinic every morning to get there fix.they will send any Joe smoe to your house.two of their sub crews have registered sex offenders running them. They will charge you the most and they do the least.I'm not sure how this company got such a good name they really should be Warning to everyone getting work done on there home do ur research first nobody wants sex offenders and drug addicts at there home. St Clair doesn't care to put ur family at risk.this company is evil in disguise.everyone should know the truth so here I am these are facts i worked there but after seeing what goes on there this company should really be shut down. more

Worst possible 1/25/2016

I should have paid more attention to these reviews, They used subs for everything. Their inspector never got out of the truck. Used incorrect damaged materials. Started more a month after promised date. Like another review said Carl is the company excuse man, Bob is in charge of making the customers mad. Their quality control man never got on the roof I had to show him pictures. Did not protect the side of house when pitching materials off all over bushes, damaged screens and tar on brick. Many more. Just stay away. They weren't even low bid. Oh they are advertising for help at $11 per hr. more

HORRIBLE-a child could give better customer service! 9/5/2013

I called ray st Clair to put siding around my gutters and gave them my deposit using my credit card. Before I gave them the deposit, I had some questions for the salesman (dan sheehan) He REFUSED to return my calls! When I called the main office, I spoke with their receptionist (her favorite words are "I don't know"-I should have dumped them right then). Anyway, I set up a date for them to start work, and just like a lot of other people who gave a review, the day of work came and went, no call-no show. I called Carl the excuse man for st Clair and he told me his crews couldn't get another job done, so they would be passing the inconvenience on to me. Ok, buddy we'll do it next week....guess what? No call-no show 2nd week in a row, so by this point they were fired. I called Carl the excuse guy and he was still going on about how his crew still couldn't get the previous job done (how incompetent are these crews?). I basically told him to shove his excuses up his you-know-what and credit my card with the deposit. He told me I wouldn't be getting all of it and I told him he had better credit the whole thing. He said ok ill credit it all, so I said thank you and hung up. 10 minutes later I get a voice mail from Carl asking if they could dump off the shutters for $97. I called back and politely told them where they could put those shutters. If you're thinking of using ray st Clair, read all the bad reviews on here, and call a different roofer. more

I would not use them. 4/29/2013

I have not used this company. I doo see their employees and trucks a lot gassing up at the Speedway in Lebanon. One day two of their employees were shouting a conversation accross the parking lot. The profanity was horrible. They actually referred to one of their customers as an f@#%$*& B$%#@. For this reason alone I would never refer or call them. more

not very professional 5/21/2012

I had 2 leaks in my roof. They said they would fix my leaks & put on a new roof in April. This was around Christmas time. They came out to fix my leaks, each time the leaks got worse .after the 4th time ,I called & no one called back so I called the company. Told them what was going on. They said they would send a crew out to put on my roof. Why didn't they do this to begin with. I was so aggravated , I told them to forget it. If they did such a lousy job fixing my leaks, why would I trust them to put on my roof. I wanted my money back. They only gave me part of it back. The people I got to do my roof took pictures of my roof & the lousy job that ray st Claire had done. Even my ins. Adjuster couldn't believe it. I was told later I should of gotten ALL my money back from someone who worked there. They saw the pictures & couldn't believe the awful job they had done. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody & have told several people. I'm not rich. Money comes hard to me & I just get by. They new this & still took advantage of me. Thank god their are some people who won't take advantage of seniors. My roofer did a beautiful job & painted my ceiling, for a lot less. He said people like that should be ashamed. Not only because of their work but taking advantage of a widowed senior. more

Work was very poor quality 4/19/2011

Hired Ray St. Clair to reseal box gutters, paint, and install heat tape. Took ray st clair a few weeks before they even made it out. When they did make it out they spent a total of 3 hours actually on-site initially. One day they showed up and literally put their sign in my front yard and left. The workers painted over the top of leaves in gutters embedding them in the paint. Also, they painted right over the top of the new seals they put in before letting dry, 2 weeks later and paint still wet and mushy. Heat tape was installed improperly, they said they would install in down spouts but didnt, which froze over and backed up causing water damage inside house. After repeated calls, finally got them to correct heat tape problem, they said they would come back to fix painted gutters which still have leaves embended in paint, its been a few months now and still have yet to see them. very poor quality work and will never do business with again. I would suggest looking elsewhere for your needs. more

Would never use 7/29/2010

I did not use them, my neighbor did. I had a quote from them and they were the most expensive in 6 bids. Seems they spend to much money on their presentation/bid, which is directly passed along to their customers. My neighbor hired them for both his roof and siding. The roof was to be done first, then siding. They delayed the start for a couple of weeks, then dragged the whole process out for a week. While on site, they were LESS than professional. They parked their vehicle in the middle of the Cul-de-sac, blocking the circle. They had no problems using mine and another neighbors yard to spread their mess out in. When asked to move their debris so the neighbor could mow, the foreman (?) was annoyed and said he "guessed he could have his men come down and move it." The same person sat in a chair and stood around much of the time and let the cuss words freely flow. I would NEVER recommend this company, nor would I allow them on my property to do work. Good luck to those who decide to use them. more

I first called Ray st. clair because of the commercial i saw on television. I had a leak in my roof from improper flashing around my roof vent. well they said it would cost 600 dollars to fix and it would be weeks befor they could come out. so i got two more quotes and rain a way was the best they did the work for under 300 and came that week. I'm a huge fan of rain away and if i have any future problems with my roof i will call them and not worry about getting other quotes because I know rain away is honest. more
