As someone who had just recently moved to Memphis, I was without a primary care physician. A few months after I moved here, I discovered a lump in my lower back by the base of my spine- an ailment that quickly began to cause me constant discomfort and worry. Not knowing who to go to, I contacted my insurance company, who referred me to Dr. Pallavi Rawtani. Not only was she curt and unpleasant in our initial meeting, but was completely unwilling to even answer my questions. She suggested an MRI and told me the soonest I could get one was about a week later (because they had to submit documentation to my insurance company). The night before my MRI appointment, I was contacted by the outpatient facility and was told that Dr. Rawtani had made no efforts to properly schedule my appointment. That she had never even taken the time to contact my insurance provider for pre-approval. I immediately attempted to get in touch with her and was given the complete runaround. She was unsympathetic and completely incapable of handling the situation. \r
All-in-all, from every aspect, this woman is a horrible doctor. If it were up to me, her license would be revoked at once. \r
I beg you not to go to this doctor.
Pros: Convenient location to Downtown
Cons: Overall HORRIBLE experience
