Good but not great burger 1/16/2011

I know that the Rattlesnake Inn advertises having the best burgers in Central Texas, which is a tall order in these parts. It's definitely a good burger but different from the typical Texas burger. Their claim to fame is the jalapeno bun, a fat, doughy and tasty piece of bread but not what you'd expect on a true Texas burger. The meat patty is thick but average in terms of flavor. There's not enough lettuce, tomatoes and pickles offer to offset this bread and meat-fest. Want an authentic Texas burger in Williamson county? Try Andice General Store or Dale's in Walburg have the best I've found in these parts. more

Great place, you feel right at home. 1/11/2009

My husband, parents and I stopped by and had lunch. The food was good, friendly people. My daughter is getting married in April, they are having their rehursal dinner/dance at the rattle snake inn. I know we are going to have a real texas good time. There will be several people from out of town, this will be a great place to show them in texas . more

Good folks. Old fashioned fun. 6/20/2008

Hey, this is a place to stop by and get out of the Texas heat and enjoy the cool, friendly atmosphere. The place has been totally remodeled to include a Beach style bar outside in the back, nice horshoe pit with picnic tables. They even have a nice shuffle board inside. It reminds me of the bars when I was a young man. Everyone who wants to be is treated as a welcome sight. Free pool on Sundays and there are plenty of Flat Screen TVs to watch current sports with a HD quality picture. Free Poker (Texas Holdem) on Wednesday nights with prizes to winners. Not to mention the food which is really good!! Try the S.E. Egg Rolls - See you there! more

Good Stuff 2/14/2008

Good food, good music, good people, good staff. Just a really cool place to hang out with or without friends. Everyone is friendly and you really feel welcome. Plus it's a must for all you sports viewing. Not a bad seat in the house. more

Friendly - sort of a home away 7/3/2007

As a country boy from small town Idaho, I was finishing out my tour at Hood back in 1970. Stopped one day at the RattleSnake Inn for a cool one. The place was a lot like what I was used to back home. We only had one bar. Made several stops there during that year of my life. The tender was always friendly, and polite. I'm sure he saw his fair share of big city soldiers, but he was always kind to me. Don't know his name, probably never asked. Of my many memories of those days, somehow the RattleSnake Inn always comes back. Many thanks from an old Vet.. I hope you always retain that small town friendliness..... more
