DR Rathee is an amazing physician. He spent time with me, answered all my questions patiently ( he had at least 30 patients waiting for him outside!!) He is very compassionate and explains the diagnosis, treatment plan in detail. he called me at home to discuss my lab results. I have never been happier. I used to see another physician from his office but changed to Dr Rathee after he delivered my baby during his call night. I would recommend him to all women who want a patient, dedicated and expert doctor. more

Dr. Walter, best doctor I've ever had. Very compassionate and knowledgeable. Takes the time to understand and answer your questions and concerns. So wonderful all the way around. I trust his judgement and feel reassured each time I see him. My husband and I just had a MC. I have a fibroid in my uterus and he is doing all he can to get us healthy and back in the game. I admire Dr. Walter for being an amazing man! more

My Mother has been seeing Dr Rathee for past 4 yrs and even followed him after he moved his office. I love him so much he has delivered both my babies.I would never see anybody else. He remembers you and makes your family feel comfortable. My husband completely adores him initially he was not sure of me seeing a male obgyn. He is extremely intelligent, smart and has good sense of humor. He normally runs behind on his schedule as he like to spend time with his patients. He is extremely busy but its worth the wait. I switched to Dr. Walter after seeing him in while in the hospital for symptoms my assign Dr... Dr. Johnson had not had the time to speak with me about the week before. While in the Hospital Dr. Walter was the on call doctor, made me feel weel taken take of and put me on total bedrest for PIH, two weeks later for a follow up with Dr. Johnson, he tried to send me back to work full time without fully reviewing my file, and the office didn't even know I had been hospitalized. I switched to Dr. Walter immediately after that. He has been extremely patient with all my questions and concerns having this be my first pregnancy. He has taken every precaution he felt needed for my special conditions, and I have less fears about my delivery because of his excellent patient care. His assistant Annebelle is awesome aswell, the other one not so much. He also has intern students that are extremely polite and well mannered... the one actually looked over my chart ahead and already knew all my information instead of having to ask me questions that were already written down. I look forward to continuing to work with him for the remainer of my pregnancy and any in the future, my only wish is that he would leave Estrella and open his own practice, the office atmsphere, and other doctors, hide he excellent patient relationships, and hinder new patients who are not knowledgable to the practice ahead of time. If I hadn't met him while in the hospital I would have left Estrella to find a new doctor to deliver my baby. He was always there when i was scheduled to see him. He called me from a personal phone to let me know he saw something wrong with an ultrasound on a weekend other doctors do not take the time to do that, he was very professional he was always there when needed. He seemed concerned and caring with everything that was going on. I have been seeing Dr Walters for the past year and would recommend him to anyone, he is great! Pros: He is awesome Cons: Office workers not always nice more

I consider a decent doctor to be: Above all, competent?- Professional (but not necessarily ""friendly"")? Patient in answering questions?- Does not make you feel like you are patient #23 in a day of 40+ patients ?- Reasonably accessible for appointments and calls ?? After a less-than-decent experience last year, I made an appointment with Dr. Rathee. The earliest appointment I could get was over a month away. Due to unexpected travel, I had to cancel the appointment and was given the next available appointment with Dr. Rathee. I looked up the doctor's office online and came across several ratings that almost scared me away, including allegations of unprofessional comments (like the other Yelper here), tacked-on fees for things like lost prescriptions, etc. However, I could not wait another month for an appointment with another practice so I kept it.?? My initial impressions:?The office was clean, bright, conveniently located, and staffed by two friendly receptionists. I waited only 15 minutes, did initial medical workup, and was escorted into the exam room.??Dr. Rathee was professional and, if not very friendly, appeared quite competent. He patiently answered my questions about a particular prescription as well as fielding a question about a pain. The exam:?The doctor was, at all times, professional, with his assistant remaining in the room during the entire exam. He thoroughly checked me and kept me informed on what he was doing, the purpose of each exam, and what his conclusions were. I experienced nothing more than the usual slight discomfort of a routine gyn exam.?? After-exam:?I had mentioned that I was not fond of my current (gnereic) BCP but would keep on it since my preferred alternative cost almost 5x as much. He agreed that the preferred pill was very expensive. He wrote me a refill for my current generic scrip, after offering me another generic alternative (which I declined) and gave me a free sample pack of the preferred pill. Along with this pack came a savings card offered by the maufacturer that would discount my copay by 50% for a full year of prescriptions (!!!) Needless to say, I was quite happy with that.?? Overall: Dr. Rathee certainly was competent and professional. Since I am not looking to be best friends with my docs, I'm satisfied with his manner and professionalism. I will continue to see him. Pros: Competent Doctor Cons: Don't like Gyn Exams more

Although Dr. Walter was not my regular doctor, I was fortunate to see him when I had a complication with my birth control. He seemed very concerned about my health and didn't brush off my questions as other doctors had before. I left feeling very happy with the way I was treated and I hope to see Dr. Walter again in the future. more

Dr. Walter is the best. After delivering 2 children with him, my family and I ran into him at Banner Estrella during my father's quad bypass. He talked with us for awhile reasurring us that the Dr. my father had was a good one. He is a wonderful person and both of my deliveries with him were flawless. I would recommend him to everyone. My sister is currently pregnant and she will be delivering with him. Pros: Dr. Walter is awesome! Cons: I agree that the office staff may need anger management. more

First of all, it is sad that the above users felt that way about the staff because I had the exact opposite experience. Everyone from the girls at the front desk, medical assistants, and nurse practitioners were all extremely pleasant and helpful. Yes there might have been a long wait on most days I had an appointment but, um HELLO... you are seeing OBGYNs! Unfortunately they can't ""schedule"" when their patients deliver and when they have to do a c-section, it requires another doctor to assist them. Wouldn't you want your doctor to be there when you need him, I sure do! \r \r Now about my OBGYN... I ABSOLUTELY loved Dr. Jordan Oland and I would recommend him to everyone and anyone needing to see one. He is so patient, understanding and supportive as well as a sense of humor! He was great about answering questions for my husband and including him in the process. He's also great at performing c-sections (if you ever find yourself needing one like I did) and the scars are amazing!! He actually had to cut through a tattoo that I have and you can't even tell!!! \r \r The ONLY complaint I had was with Dr. Rathee. He assisted in my c-section and was the doctor on call who would check on me on the days Dr Oland had off. He had horrible bedside care and each time he saw me he would ask ""Who are you again? What's your name? When did you deliver?"" Even the very next morning after performing the surgery!! He did this each time he did his rounds. And he never knew anything that was going on with me (constant high bp). He even tried discharging me but the nurses had to show him my chart again and THEN he wanted me on medicine immediately. Basically he either didn't read the charts or pay attention. All I have to say is thank goodness he's not my doc and I don't have to see him again!\r \r Other than that, I will be going back when I have my next child and I can't wait to see Dr. Oland and his assistant Rebecca! I have been with this center for ever. I love my doctor. He's the greatest. Yes there is always a little wait but that is to be expected and I don't mind. I can't understand is the complete attitude I get from the office staff though, especially the ""witch hilda"" (got to keep it PG for the internet) when checking out or making another appointment. This person (don't dare call her a lady, because she is nothing of the sort) was snotty, and spoke to me like a child. Not to mention she was supposed to check coverage on a procedure with my insurance company and give me a call to let me know the status. I have yet to hear anything two months later. I mean seriously, if it weren't for patients she wouldn't even have a job. I just couldn't understand the garbage attitude. If she doesn't like her job I'm sure there is some other nice and friendly person that would be glad to take her place and she can stay home and insult ""her"" family or the television. UHHH Hire someone else already. I'm sure I'm not the only person she has really ticked off. Love the new office by the way. Pros: Doctor's are the best and are very compassionate. I have been seeing Dr Rathee for almost 4 years, since I was pregnant with my daughter who just turned 3. He is a great Dr and always listens to his patient's concerns and lets his patient's make decisions regarding their healthcare. With other OB/GYN's I've seen, the patient is just another number, but not with Dr. Rathee. He makes a good attempt to remember his patients and is always friendly and gives his patient's a chance to ask questions without feeling rushed. \r \r I've seen from other posts that other people have complained about the wait time. This is after all an OB/GYN office and in some cases Dr's have to go deliver babies (which can happen any time of the day). Yes there can be delays, but this is to be expected with any OB/GYN office, where the Dr you see is the Dr that will deliver your baby. Pros: Love the new location. Cons: Can't think of any more

I see my OB/GYN at Womens Health but the young ladies (thats being nice) are VERY unprofessional and rude. I feel for my doctor because I dont believe he is aware of how bad they treat the patients both in person and by phone. I wish the doctor was still at his old location with his old office staff. Dr. Rathee is one of the best doctors in my lifetime that I have ever come across, 2 years ago I had a life changing procedure done and as you can imagine I was scared and I felt horrible, Dr. Rathee even called at home to make sure I was okay, Now how many doctors can you say that do that? My husband and I are both greatful there are still doctors that care. more

Estrella Women's Health Center has been taking care of women in the west valley of phoenix for over 40 years. Your review is not representative of the majority of our patients or we would not continue to grow and be successful. We strive to take excellent care of all of our patients. I apologize for the poor experience that you received. Our doctors make every effort to see patients in a timely manner, but also want to spend as much time with each patient as they need. They also occasionally are required to leave the office to deliver babies which can cause delays. Experience was terrible!!! One of the front desk ladies acted like I was bothering her and treated me like garbage! I thought the attitude would change when I showed that I had insurace and had been reffered to them by a local doctor...It got worse! I was taken to a room on time but that was the only positive! An hour and a half later I finally asked if I was going to see a doctor. I was told finally that I might be next. No compassion at all in this place of business, to at least pop in a freezing room and say ""don't worry we didn't forget about you"". Also, I found out the results for my pregnancy test myself when I went to the ladies room and saw it sitting on the counter next to MY name and urine! How embarrassing!!!! Completely shocked at the rude treatment and disregard for my feelings and comfort! Planned Parenthood had a better attitude than these so called professionals! I thought I was going to enjoy the experience of starting a family but this place made me feel like I had farted in their face. You are terrible and RUDE Estrella Womens Health, I feel bad for women that go there with no other option! Pros: the women that took my B.P was pleasant but I had to track her down an hour later and ask where the doc was Cons: unprofessional, rude, freezing!!!!, crowded, and I could hear personal info of all their messages! phone numbers, problems, addresses, the whole 9 yrds. more

I went to this office for a threated miscarriage and the doctor ordered HCG level STAT and it has been over 36 hours and I have made 2 phone calls to the office for results and still no phone call back. The doctor was nice he answered my questions but the other staff at the clinic are rude and are not very nice and show no compassion for the patients that are going through a rough time. more

I was recommended by friend from work. Although he is busy but he addressed my concerns and amde me feel very comfortable. Now my Mother and my sister are also seeing him. more
