Could not fix my car 1/9/2011

I have a 2007 EOS that drains the battery. The dealership, Hiley Volkswagen, cannot diagnose why this is happening. Took it twice, they kept it 3 weeks. They said they worked with HQ tech support. No help there. Took it home on Saturday, car is dead again the next day. The battery is ruined from being drained so many times. This is the 3rd battery in the car. I know it will probably not hold a charge any more. I offered to buy a VW battery if they would guaranty to replace it when it gets ruined. They said all they could offer was the standard warranty. I'm sure they are hoping I go away, but going to call them on Monday. This is the dealership where I bought the car. Don't buy a VW and don't go Randy Hiley. Understand that electrical issues are hard to diagnose, but when the car dies in the dealership, one would think they could figure it out. National Customer Service is equally useless. All they do is call the dealership and tell you exactly the same thing the service writer and/or manger just told you. They are no help in resolving any issue, they actually suggested I take it to a different dealership and also referred me to researching the Texas Lemon laws Making it my mission to post on as many web sites and to file complaints about VW and this dealership. more

service, what service 7/6/2007

brought a 06 TDI to get serviced here ended up getting a whole new motor and transmission out of it, ever since then its been nothing but problems. Ended up finding out the exhaust had been broken, all the oil lines where still loss, bolts were missing, and to top it off about 10k later the bolts on the transmission mount just fell off. The service manager talks to you like a total ---------, made a comment like I should be happy the car has lasted 10k.... I dont know about ya'll but a car with a merely 34k on it and a 5 yr, $4hundred plus payment a month should never give you any problems, I also bought a VW because they are suppose to last forever. Sales guys are ok but if I had to take my car in for service ever again I rather let my 2 yr old nephew do it then the pin head techs they have there...... To top it off they treat you like if you were born yesterday! more

I went here to test drive a jetta to see about the higher milage. They have a great selection, but the service is just okay. They offer great cars with great features, but the sales people could use a lift... more

Great prices - So-So Service 6/19/2005

We purchased my wife's VW New Beetle from Randy Hiley Volkswagen of Arlington at an amazing price. We shopped for it online through www.vw.com and searching for certified used vw's. The price was the LOWEST by FAR in the area and as I am currently looking for another VW I am still seeing the same thing - they have the lowest prices on VWs in the DFW area. Now, the downside. The service after the sale is not what I expect from VW... they don't give the same type of "royal" treatment I have come to expect. Verdict: Buy your VW here and get serviced somewhere else :-) more
