I recently had an insurance issue where a prescription claim was denied. This has happened before at chain pharmacies, and my experience has been a negative one. However, the same problem arose at Ramon's. I was told by Peg that she would resolve the problem with the insurance provider. True to her word, it was solved the next morning. That level of expertise and experience will not be found at franchise pharmacies. R.Allen more

Ignorant and Rude 3/8/2011

I am a ins broker who regularly contacts providers and pharmacies to assist my clients in resolving insurance issues. I called Ramon pharmacy to resolve an issue where my client was made to pay full price for her Rx. There was an override that was put into the system by the insurance carrier so that the pharmacy could run the Rx thru and it be approved and paid for by the insurance. Ramon pharmacy made my client pay for full price for her Rx without trying to resolve the issue with the insurance carrier. When I called Ramon pharmacy today I spoke with Mark. Before I could finish speaking to him he was interrupting me. Mark advised me he was busy and wanted to know why I was calling. I speak to dozens of doctor offices, pharmacies, insurance companies and collection agencies everyday resolving issues for my client. Never have I come across someone so rude and ignorant. I would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone. I tried to call back to get the name of the pharmacy manager and Peg answered. She was just as equally rude and would not give me any information at all. I have contacted the clients insurance carrier to file a formal complaint. I would advise anyone else who has had a problem with this pharmacy or their employees to do the same. Getting your drugs and medical advice from a pharmacy should be from a company or a pharmacist you can trust. When or if something goes wrong you should be able to rely on these people to be your advocates to assist you in getting the best care possible. Going to this pharmacy and dealing with Mark or Peg is not going to that for anyone. more
