Worst

Back in college (early 90's) this was a better place to eat and drink at. Bigger portions and better quality for the $$$. Now it's urban ok. Kinda matches everything else going...

The Ram--any of 'em 9/26/2004

I've been to numerous Ram franchises and have found that at all of them their overpriced food always arrived cold, servers were cute but apathetic, and other than a few hard core customers who swear by the place their overall cutsomer base seemed asleep. Pros: clean, attractive help, adequate parking Cons: , lousy service, lousy service more

NOT FOR DINNER 6/14/2004

I went to the Ram last night with my husband and in-laws hoping for a quick dinner. We arrived at 8:15 and were told they would not serve us. Why? Because, the waitress told me, "we turn into a bar at 10pm and don't want to seat dinner people. Come back after 10 and it'll be open bar so you can seat yourself." Uh...it was 8:15...we would have been gone by 9pm, long before "open bar" time. I guess people in their 30's with parents in their 60's are not worth their time. Pros: None Cons: , No service more

The Ram is great 5/10/2004

While creating a hearty atmosphere in which people of all ages can watch their favorite sports games or play games themselves on a teleprompter, this restaurant has wonderful service and great food. The Husky Burger should be tried at least once in every life time. This is a one-pound burger with a bun to fit it and comes with fries. Also the rootbeer and beers drafted by the Ram come highly recommended by anyone who has tried them. Pros: good burgers, every sport on the tv, good draft favorites more

Old Ram Better 10/24/2003

Bad Service, Bad Food, Bad beer 10/5/2003

Food is bland and overall bad (ex. the wings taste like the wings I make at home and I suck at cooking; tortilla chips are old and chewy, not crunchy; like they've been made that morning and served at night). NONE of their beer is good (compare it to Big Time or better yet, Rock Bottom, or any normal beer like Bud light or Alaskan Amber). Way bitter. DO NOT drink their beer with food. Horrible combination. Service is extremely slow and bad, takes the waiter 20min to come around each time. And sometimes he/she just walks by and looks without saying a word even though it was QUITE OBVIOUS we needed more to drink. TRY Dante's, Duke's, Earl's, or Big Time. Pros: NONE Cons: SERVICE, FOOD, BEER = EVERYTHING more

Bad service 8/18/2003

The service here is at best extremely inexperienced. I went last night to a birthday party. Granted there were 30 of us, people went 1.5 hours early to secure the already made reservation, and we were seated 1.5 hours late (3 hours total waiting). They squashed us together with barely enough room to move in a very bad seating arrangement, then forgot our utensils, and messed up one of the birthday guys' order. They tried to make it up with 5 free desserts, but I felt really gross after eating their ribs to think about digging in with the other 30 people. more

Terrible Service 8/13/2003

I went to The Ram for the first time for a friend's b-day. We had 10 people with us and it literally took 2 hours before we were all seated. Then we had to wait forever until they took our order. The food and drinks are way overpriced and definitely not worth the wait. My suggestion is to save your money and simply avoid this place all together. Why it is so popular, I couldn' t say. Pros: Friendly staff Cons: Overpriced, Crowded, Slooooow service more

Tacoma Ram!! Oh yes 2/7/2003

This place rocks!! What a great happy hour. Go after 9pm. Pros: Beer, Happy hour, Location Cons: slow more

rich boy bar 1/23/2003

this place is to preppy for me I like a place that has people that are friendly. Pros: parking Cons: bad food, weak drinks, over priced more

Yuk-O-La! 1/17/2003

The food is tasty, but extremely overpriced. The same is true about the beer. The inside of this place reminds you of a FAT TUESDAY or TGI if only with more wood and brass just reeking of testosterone. The specials are jokes, the other outlets have no conformity whatsoever. You go to one and find another store only not to have it. Having lived in WA most of my life, I have been to almost all of the RAMS. Usually now, it's just with friends--when I have to. The RAM has changed, people. It's not what it used to be. Go and eat or drink there, find your pocket $50-$100 shorter and you'll walk out feeling like you wasted your money. It's not fun. It's not outstanding. It's over priced and mediocre--and that's on a good day. Spend your money at elsewhere at chains that know what they are doing. Pros: location, food can be OK, Beer is tasty Cons: overpriced, bad staff, run of the mill more

mediocre 11/21/2002

If you don't have anything to do and need to get drunk on a tuesday night, this is the place to do it, 99 cent wells cant be beat. Other than that, this place pretty much sucks, overrun with fake people and a terrible place to meet new people. Theres lots of hot girls, but I'd rather go to a real bar with culture. I think its marketed as a sports bar, the giant TVs are really distracting if you're trying to just go with some friends. But then again, this is right up the alley for some people. Booze, sports, loose women. Hey wait a minute, maybe its not that bad after all... more

HOW??? 9/23/2002

The service is slow at best, the fries are terrible, the food is over-priced and it's so noisy during sporting events that you can't hear yourself talk let alone the person next to you. Also, the booths are uncomfortable as the seats are too low for the tables. more

sunday nights... 8/10/2002

I go on occasion to the ram on sunday nights for lack of anything better to do. The service is very slow, but at least the people are nice. It is usually too crowded to sit down unless you get there at 9pm or 1am. Drinks are sometimes cheap... Pros: great food, drink specials Cons: too crowded, slow service more

A good sports bar 6/24/2002

Despite the slow service, this is a great place to watch any game with your friends. The tv screen in the middle of the bar and the surrounding tvs make it a pleasant environment. Add-in how the bar is set up with rows and rows of bottles around the bar, and it is quite a sight. Pros: atmosphere, tv's Cons: service more

  • In Short
The Ram serves microbrews and a wide variety of American fare to university students and older sports fans seeking the kind of charisma only a youth-frequented place can provide. Burgers, fries and cable sports, but come game time, the bar can get just as raucous as the real thing. Ramburgers include Bourbon Black Jack, seasoned with pepper-jack cheese and Jack Daniel's Dijon mustard. The Sumo Burger comes topped with pineapple and teriyaki sauce.
