I would not recommend Rainbow Youth and Family Services to anyone. I have adopted children through two different organizations, one being Rainbow. The difference seemed to me like a difference between night and day. It is very important that you choose an organization that is going to support you in your efforts from foster care through adoption. I do not feel I had anywhere near that kind of support from Rainbow. This would include but not be limited to the amount of financial support I receive from the state, something that I feel a good organization will try to get for you. I feel Rainbow has lied to me at times, not followed through with what is expected of them, and even treated me unprofessionally to the point of making verbal threats against me. Rainbow is a small organization. The last I heard was that they have 3 employees total. It is my opinion that some of these people are confrontational, unprofessional, intrusive, and lacking in their own social skills. I would advise any one that is interested in foster care or adoption to choose a bigger and better organization to work for you. Otherwise you might find that you are working for them because they don't work for you.
