For lunch combos, they will give you soup and veggie rolls, and ice cream dessert. Nice touch. Spice level isn't high, so spicy isn't really spicy. Swimming Rama! more

racha was better than i'd expected, but i'd expected something pretty icky so i didn't have far to go :-) the place is nicer inside than i thought - it's not cheesy and dorky. i think i was expecting that because of the tv commercials. regardless, it's nicely decorated and you feel like you in for a pleasant dining experience. they have a wall of kids' toys including hand-held games on a big clipboard-like contraption so the littler kids can easily hold it and so you don't forget to leave it with them after your meal. the service is fine, although a bit slow sometimes and not uber-friendly. the food is also fine, not great but not bad. a bit too heavy on the grease if you ask me. they have good lunch specials - a big combo plate of food for $7 or so - pretty standard amount of food for the standard price. if you are jonesing for thai food and are near racha, go for it. more

When thinking of a good Thai Restaurant near downtown Seattle, one thinks of Racha, its classy, romantic and upscale located at the old Bartells Drugstore. Located conveniently near Key Arena and Seattle Center. The menu items i ordered were Panang Curry, Phud See Ew, Phad Thai and Chicken Satay with Thai Ice Coffee. the food is excellent, although on the pricier side its still great with a fair amount of portions. Waiters and Hostess are dressed in traditional thai attire and we were greated with a bow and were quickly seated. After ordering an occassional waiter would come by and refill our waters ever 15 mins or so and would check up on us. Service was above par. my only gripe about this restaurant is parking is horrid when trying to park that area but is well worth it. The lunch menu is also very good too with the basic top ordered items as lunch specials. I would recommend this place to anyone who have tried the mom and pop restaurants to try this one...and see how well it fairs with the top name thai restaurants around seattle. more

The waiter brought half of our dinner order, then make the other half of our party wait five minutes for their meals to arrive. Serving all members of a dinner party at once is Restaurant 101. Why Racha doesn't get it escapes me. The food was fine. Some had better results than others, but the overall sense was that the eatin' was OK, despite prices which didn't seem to jibe with the service or atmosphere... ...speaking of which, whoever decided loud hair metal and hip hop were the best possible musical accompaniment to a Thai meal really just must not have been paying attention to the clientele (much less the cuisine). A meal would have to be exceptional to surmount these shortcomings. Alas, ours wasn't. more

It had been some time since I had been to Racha Noodle & Thai Cuisine and it will probably be some time before I go back. The food was certainly plentiful and tasty, but I began to feel like I was in a huge Thai diner with an overpriced menu and overzealous wait staff. The price of an entrée is pushing $20, appetizers are pushing $10. The cosmopolitan, which I sent back for a remake, was $8. The waiter smiled so much it was it was just plain weird. Did he just want a really big tip to go with the menu prices? OK, lesson learned, don't buy drinks like that in a Thai place and stick to small intimate Thai restaurants with smaller price tags and just as tasty food. more

I first tried Racha's chicken satay and phad thai at a Bite of Seattle. Of course ,when we went to the restaurant, the cost of our dinner was considerably more than we expected, but the food was worth it. We've taken many friends and family who have visited us, and everyone has been pleased w/ the food(curry, tofu, lamb, etc). The ambiance is perfect for a romantic date, but unfortunately, we have kids who have been a little loud on occasion--the staff has been friendly and accommodating nonetheless. They even have games available to keep the kids busy. more

I took my family from Jersey out to Racha on Saturday and enjoyed easily the best meal of my life. The waiters/waitresses there are so friendly and the meals are very filling. They have a great variety of vegetarian food and offer lots of fresh options with tofu. The thai iced tea is to die for! more

First meal was Sen Mei Beef. It was exquisite. I have gone back 15 to 20 times and 90% of the time, the experience is just as good. I recommend it highly. I am not very experienced with Thai Restaurants. more

Racha Noodles is on Lower Queen Anne near Seattle Center. The food is great, the atmosphere is pleasant, the service is friendly and accomodating. The usual Thai restaurant options are available, with some more unusual offerings (such as rack of lamb shish-kabob). more

Admittedly not the most authentic of Thai cuisines, Racha is still a fantastic meal and a fairly good value. The restaurant is beautifully decorated to look like a Thai pagoda with light woods and artful carvings. The colorfully dressed waitstaff are friendly, responsive, and efficient. Having had many meals at Racha with friends over several years, I can happily report that not once has anyone not been extremely satisfied with their dish. This runs the full range of Racha's creative curries, to the cashew chicken, to my personal favorite, the Racha Special Noodles. I'm still trying to convince the waitstaff that I can handle true Thai spice; once I get my noodles as hot as I like them, I'll change my rating to perfect (I believe one should sweat from the spice when eating Thai food). Parking can be a tremendous pain on Lower Queen Anne which is Racha's only major drawback. more
