Best Costumes I've Found 3/5/2008

Hello....Well, I'm not really one to get dressed up in costumes and all of that jazz, but recently I had a costume party that I was attending. Seeking out costumes can and usually be a major hassle, but I found at Queen of Hearts that just wasn't the case. The people there were extremely helpful not to mention that they had a great selection of costumes. The selection was so great that I had a hard time deciding on one costume. Finally after so deliberation I picked one and I was the life of the party. So thank you Queen of Hearts, and if you ever need a costume don't waste your time going anywhere else!!! more

Kid-friendly, Adult-appreciated 3/5/2008

Queen of Hearts may be my new favorite store when it comes to our 3 children. There is always a book report, a class project, last minute, yet unexpected birthday parties and all of the holidays. I truly appreciate the helpful suggestions I receive when I go there plus they have EVERYTHING. Our twin sons are really into magic these days and no where is there more magic than at Queen of Hearts. Best part of this is, I can always get my husband to take the kids there. He loves this store as much as I do. Thanks for making our lives a lot better. Queen of hearts customer service 3/4/2008

This is a reply to Holly Moores review. She was treated very nicely on the phone. When she sent the guy in he was given a choice of two costumes. He picked the one he took home, not us. Holly called back saying she would take this up with the owners son, which she knew from high school. She was very rude and futhermore the owners son has nothing to do with this business, nor does he even work here. When she returned the costume after keepin it the whole weekend it had been worn. I told her I was sorry and that's why we encourage people to come in themself.\r Nothing that she said was the facts. We have been here for 25 years and always try to keep our customes happy. We also have signs posted saying NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES. Our receipts and rental forms say ALL SALES FINAL. We appreciate your business and look forward to helping you with all your costume and magic needs. Thank You more

Great Selection 3/4/2008

My husband and I were recently shopping for ""Disco"" party outfits. We had been to several stores in the DFW area and weren't finding just what we wanted. Friends from Plano suggested we go to Queen of Hearts. Seems it's been there forever. They told us it was their favorite place to rent costumes. The salespeople were helpful and quite funny while helping us. We found a great selection and sizes. We and our costumes rocked at the party. We will be going there again for our next costume party. Pros: In the historic Plano district. more

I'm a single mother of two. My sons 5th birthday party was sunday there store is closed so I had to send a friend to pick a red power ranger costume up for me while I was working all day saturday. When i returned home to find the costume I was horrified. The helment was cracked on both sides, the paint was chipping off, and the size of the helment was too big there was no lining or anything to keep the helment in place. I immediately called and tryed to bring the product back. They refused to let me return the same day within 2 hours of picking it up for a full refund. I paid $90 to rent this unusable costume that I was not even able to use. My son was so dissapointed and so was I. I work very hard for my money and feel that I threw $90 away. On monday today when i went to turn it in I asked for a manager and she simply smiled and said sorry tough luck and laughed. I just wanted some kind of money back $5- or whatever but they refused. When I was leaving I noticed a sign on the window stating that they are #1 in quality and reputation. I'm going to call the Better Business Bereau and say they have false advertising. This company must not be doing well if they can honestly ripp people off. I don't recomend anyone to use this place and if you read this call and tell them they need to give me my money back! Cons: Outdated costumes, Bad Quality, Rude and unhelpful staff more

No Returns?? Suspect Merchandise 10/25/2006

-Anytime a retailer doesn't allow the return of unused unopened merchandise, I am wary. This is particularly the case where the sign purporting to state the store policy is only possibly visible on your way out of the store, after you have made a purchase, and is obscured by other stuff.\r -The staff was relatively helpful in helping me put together an outfit, but once I got home I decided it wasn't for me. I tried to take it back the next day, unused and unopened, but was refused. They wouldn't even offer me store credit.\r -In my opinion you have to have a pretty low view of what you are offering the public to have this type of hateful policy. You really have to beleive you are overcharging and not offering good service. Also that people will continue to come to your store no matter how badly you treat them. To me this rings of the attitude of someone who knows they are not providing value.\r -I will not be going back and would warn anyone about shopping there--the store obviously things you can do better elsewhere as they do not stand behind their merchandise or service in any form. Cons: Overpriced, rude, no returns more
