  • Overview
The mother of Washington state fairs spans more than two weeks and a staggering variety of interests. From the famous scones with raspberry jam to the 180-foot-tall Extreme Scream ride, the Puyallup Fair is one diversion that makes leaving the city worthwhile. Since its inception in 1900, the fair has grown from a three-day showcase for livestock and home arts to a 17-day extravaganza that draws 1.2 million people for midway rides, rodeos, commercial exhibitions, concerts from big-name performers and more. The agricultural element remains prominent, though, with ample space given to 4-H and FFA exhibits.

    Facts
Your entry fee will buy you free access to all the exhibits, from the fair's finest pygmy goats to the hobby hall where collectors display their various amassments. Rides cost extra, as does admission to concerts.
