There was no place to park so we were slightly late because of that. It is pretty inside but service was not what we expected based on reviews. The prices were different but it didn't make sense with the level of service we received based on the price difference. We are intelligent consumers and we didn't like what we received for what we paid. Is that our fault because we were late? Maybe, but we were under the impression that it would be convenient getting and parking there. Pros: Nice atmosphere. Cons: Parking,traffic and inconsistent. more

My entire family has been going to Pull Out a Plum for many years. It continues to be the unique, warm and wonderful destination for haircare (and salon services) that it always has been! The minute I walk in the door I feel pampered by the luxurious surroundings and the personable staff. The attention to detail and the cleanliness of the salon meet my very high standards! On my way out, I love to shop in the boutique and always find a special gift or treat for myself! I highly recommend this gem in the charming 50th and France area!! Cynthia gave me a great massage last saturday! She made me feel very comfortable and helped relieve much tension in my neck and shoulders by finding the pressure points and pressing them until the pain was gone. The heated massage table covered w/ soft towels and equipped w/ a nice soft bolster (under knee pillow) was nothing short of luxurious. The aromatherapy massage lotion she used smelled fresh and soothing w/ lavendar and a hint of eucalyptus--delightful. Getting dressed was a pleasure too, as my skin was not oily because she used aromatic lotion instead of oil. A nice little extra to ask for is the paraffin foot wrap. I don't know how they do this, but it stays warm the whole time it's on your feet! Thanks again Cynthia! Pros: cute boutique, free parking, beautiful salon Cons: allow extra 10 min or so to park and find the salon; I got a bit turned around more

Wow! What a FUN and interesting place to be. Not only do they have GREAT stylists that are highly skilled, are interesting to talk to, and have good suggestions for your hair, but there are also many great pieces of jewelry, wonderful antiques and many hard-to-find gifts. I know that the shop has recently gone through somewhat of a culling process regarding staff, and the results are that the cream has risen to the top. The negativity has seemingly moved on. The shop is beautiful to look at and is in a prime location. Wonderful atmosphere. You owe it to yourself to try this place. Pros: Perfect location. Great staff. You will LOVE the atmosphere!! more

What is not to love about this salon, class eloquence, style and pure fun!! I felt like I was in New York and also in my neighborhood shop, the best of both worlds! This is not your cookie cuter strip-mall experience. The staff is mature, professional and uniquely trained in the latest and greats this world of beauty has to offer. Plus the gifts selections, is the finest you will fine anywhere, one stop venue for all your needs! I will not travel far for most pleasures in life, but this was the best experience and I am willing to travel the 25 miles to get there, and thats one way! I think it is so funny how rude some people can be. The only bad reviews are from ex employees that need to learn to grow up. This is an amazing salon. No if, ands, or buts about it. I have been a client even before it became 'pull out a plum' and have watched it transform into an amazing fun, fresh, and funky salon. Go and see for yourself!! You wont regret!! Pull Out a Plum was perfect for my wedding day! I have been going to Pull Out a Plum Salon and Gallery for all 10 years that it has been open, and when the time came to schedule hair appointments for my wedding party, we chose Pull Out a Plum. The staff was extremely accomodating and greeted us on my wedding morning with refreshments and gifts for each of us! We had the best time talking to each other while our hair was being done and getting excited for all that was to come that day! Wow! I tried some new services at Pull Out a Plum. I got the best facial I ever had. An excellent pedicure, even a great spray tan. I came out of there feeling so good. I've always had great cuts and color there but now I can treat myself to even more! Pros: one stop shopping more

I first went to Pull Out a Plum over ten years ago. I had such a good experience that my husband, son, and daughter became clients as well. The shop is beautifully decoratedluxurious evenbut still manages to be friendly and relaxed. The staff at Pull Out a Plum has always bent over backwards to meet my scheduling needs and to make sure Im happy with my haircut, color, etc. In the world of snooty hair salons, this place is a gem. more

I have have been to this salon a few times and been fairly happy with the results. The stylists were friendly and the quality was good. However, I tried to make an appointment and all three of the last people that cut my hair no longer work there. It is hard to be confident in a stylist or salon when people can't get seconds haircuts with the same stylist. How does this build haircutting relationships? more

This is one of the best salon/spa's I have ever been to. Michele, my hat is off to you. You do a great job at staying positive and motivated in a highly competitive market. You truly are one of the BEST! The staff at this salon is Wonderful. They are helpful and caring without being pushy, and you can tell they really do listen when you talk here. My haircuts have never been a disappointment. This is the place that I come to to relax and let go. It is a warm and inviting environment---you almost feel like you are home here. I was having a horrible day and decided I needed not only a haircut, but something different, a pick me up. I called and got in at a minutes notice and was introduced to Theresa. She cut my hair...but only after she asked me, and intently listened to what I wanted to do. She was AWESOME! This is one of the best cuts I have ever had. The best thing about it...she knew what she was doing and she really listened to what I said. This salon ROCKS. I will be back for sure. I actually can't wait. Thanks Theresa. I have been a client of Pull out a Plum for over 4 years and I have been extremely satisfied with each visit. Not only is the staff polite and helpful but the display of product and merchandise provides a wonderful excuse to do a little shopping. The array of services offered combined with the welcoming atmosphere make for a pleasant experience all around. I would definitely recommend Pull out a Plum! more
