We had a very positive experience at ProMed urgent care facility on Anderson Ln and Burnet. While in the waiting room, the staff at the counter noticed my husband's hacking cough...

Nurse was nice, but it took over an hour to take the meningitis shot, considering I was the only patient in the building. Probably not normal right? frustrated...

Poor excuse for a clinic!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4/5/2010

I went to Promed for a drug test and a physical for school. I told every single person that I came into contact with that I had to have a ten panel drug test. I took care of my buissines in the the cup, and jumped through all the hoops, and once again I asked the nurse tomake sure I was getting a ten panel drug test. She told me to relax that she knew what she was doing. She handed me my papers and I waited for the doctor. While waiting for the doctor I read the drug testing paperwork, the nurse lied she only ordered a nine panel drug test. Once again I asked her and her reply was that what the card says you need and that was what she chose. I told her again that my school requires a ten panel drug test. I asked the nurse to fix it, but she said she just sent my test out.\r \r The doctor came in and was one of the rudest most unprofessional people that I have had the misfortune to deal with. I think he received his medical licence out of a Cracker Jack Box, He said my pulse and blood pressure were to high, He failed me on my exam. I was outraged I have never failed a physical, so i went to a different doctor for a second opinion.\r \r Promed doctors diagnoisis was way off. When I went to another doctor for a second opinion my blood pressure was great as was my pulse.\r \r In conclusion I will never go back to Promed for any reason whatsoever. Promed's poor excuse for doctors amd nurses almost cost me my career in law enforcement. Please be aware and stay far far away. Pros: Nothing Cons: Staff more

Received excellent care 6/19/2008

We had a very positive experience at ProMed urgent care facility on Anderson Ln and Burnet. While in the waiting room, the staff at the counter noticed my husband's hacking cough (hard not to) and asked if he was having trouble breathing. I said, yes, and they immediately moved him to a room where the very capable RN started a breathing treatment that helped him get more air.\r \r After that, he got a chest x-ray and met with Dr. Patterson who confirmed pneumonia. Dr. Patterson was easy going, kind, and professional. Sometimes it seems that doctors at urgent care facilities are a little dismissive or distant since they see so many patients and then never see them again. He gave my husband a prescription for antibiotic pills and said he also would give him an inhaler, which we realized later he did not prescribe. We thought maybe he changed his mind based on my husband's medical allergies or whatever.\r \r So today, out of the blue, Dr. Patterson called him to check on him! He said he was concerned about him and wanted to make sure he was doing okay. My husband thanks him and said he'd wished he had gotten that inhaler. The doctor apologized, said he just forgot to prescribe it, and immediately called in the prescription personally to the Walgreens by our house. I'm really impressed with the level of care and kindness we received in spite of how busy the clinic was at the time. Pros: Professional, capable, kind more
