We had a very positive experience at ProMed urgent care facility on Anderson Ln and Burnet. While in the waiting room, the staff at the counter noticed my husband's hacking cough (hard not to) and asked if he was having trouble breathing. I said, yes, and they immediately moved him to a room where the very capable RN started a breathing treatment that helped him get more air.\r

After that, he got a chest x-ray and met with Dr. Patterson who confirmed pneumonia. Dr. Patterson was easy going, kind, and professional. Sometimes it seems that doctors at urgent care facilities are a little dismissive or distant since they see so many patients and then never see them again. He gave my husband a prescription for antibiotic pills and said he also would give him an inhaler, which we realized later he did not prescribe. We thought maybe he changed his mind based on my husband's medical allergies or whatever.\r

So today, out of the blue, Dr. Patterson called him to check on him! He said he was concerned about him and wanted to make sure he was doing okay. My husband thanks him and said he'd wished he had gotten that inhaler. The doctor apologized, said he just forgot to prescribe it, and immediately called in the prescription personally to the Walgreens by our house. I'm really impressed with the level of care and kindness we received in spite of how busy the clinic was at the time.
Pros: Professional, capable, kind
