I recently moved to Gilroy from Mtn View and I had a lifetime brake warranty from the getting my brakes done at the Mtn View store. Even tho they are different owners, they honored my warranty from the other store even though I didn't have my receipt. Saved me $100. They told me they wanted to have my business for the long term and I appreciate that. That's why I recommend them to everyone I know! more

fixed my smog problem 3/4/2010

I went to this shop for a smog check. My vehicle didn't pass. I dind't have the dough to pay for the diagnostic and repair so they gave me an application for the CAP program. I drove to San Jose and they faxed my application to Sacramento. I got the approval in 30 minutes! Went back to this shop the next day and I only paid $28.25 for the repair! The state paid for the rest!! Thanks Precision!? Pros: very helpful more

I was driving from San Francisco to Los Angeles when my car started overheating. I called AAA and the tow truck driver recommended this shop. I told the manager Callan that I needed to get back on the road ASAP. They fixed my water pump within a couple of hours and they also found a nail in my tire. Saved me from another AAA tow. I took my vehicle to Precision Tune because I'd received a coupon in the mail. I dropped it off for an oil change and smog check. My car didn't pass smog and I wasn't too happy about that! Until they gave me an application for the CAP program. I applied and was approved for $500 towards repairing my vehicle to pass smog. I only paid $30 out of pocket from there to fix my car I was pleasantly shocked! They also lent me a vehicle while my car was there so I didn't have to carpool. Very happy and will definitely be back! Thanks PTune! more

I've been taking my vehicle to Precision Tune for years ever since I moved to Gilroy. I recommend them to anyone looking for a good shop. My car recently failed smog check. They helped me apply for financial assistance from the state and they paid $500 to help my car pass smog. They are so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!! more

Great place. Been a longtime customer 1/11/2010

I've been going here for years since I moved to Gilroy. Every time I've gone they've taken care of all 3 of our family cars. My car failed smog and I they helped me apply for financial assistance. Not Recommended! 5/9/2009

If you want your transmission to break down after service, go to this shop. If you want to have your routine maintenance done and find out that your transmission died after the service, go to this shop. If you want to wait four months to get a diagnosis of exactly what went wrong with your car, go to this place. If you want the shop to drive your car over 1,000 miles without your consent, go to this shop. If you want a liar that told you that your car would be good for the next 10 years, and found out that your car died in a week, go to this shop. If you want to deal with a bunch of technicians who can hardly speak English or know about the repair, go to this shop. I think I've said enough. Just to share a frustrating experience of a customer that had to abandon an extremely well-maintained car after maintenance servicing with this shop. Pros: None Cons: Liars, Crooks, Ruin cars (instead of fix or maintainance) more

Oil Change 11/28/2008

Whenever i need an oil change or maintenance i like to go to precision tune auto care. They know what their doing and their pretty fast. I recommend if you want a good quality oil change to come here. more

Great job Boys 3/31/2008

I have been dealing with Precision Tune since I moved to Gilroy four years ago. Precision Tune has always bee quick and very fair with cost. I always send my friends there and they love it. I'm just waiting for a pick up and delivery service from them, that would be so nice to have Precision Tune pick up my car at home and deliver it for a small extra charge. Can't diagnose or fix problems, but will charge you and send it home as "fixed" 9/22/2007

Although they are friendly, conveinant, and helpful; their skills are seriously lacking for auto diagnosis. Oil changes and maybe tuneups can be done OK, but if anything goes wrong and they want to start to replace parts and perform services - watch out. A good shop will figure out what is wrong and maybe replace a couple of things worst case, but these guys will do lot's of services and not fix the problem and send it home as completed. more

Great for automobile service 6/8/2005

I have been here for an oil change, smog checkup, and a complete tune-up. Every time I have been here, their service has been outstanding, and the people have been very friendly. Their prices are very competetive. One of the best things about them is that they are fast. I highly recommend this for all your automotive needs. more
