Editorial
  • The Scene
The bar at Power Play is like a knife fight on a nude beach-nobody notices. Instead, the packs of token-toting video junkies are fully fixated on their dates-those being the Rush 2049 Car Race, HydroThunder SpeedBoat Challenge and the NBA on NBC Hoops game. There's even a skateboard game where you jump on the real thing and direct your computer-generated equal. If you want the real NBA, there are real TVs at the nondescript bar. When sensory overload takes over, you can rest your fingers at the Improv, Howl at the Moon Saloon, and Rock Bottom Brewery-they're all within the Powerhouse complex. Power Play isn't loaded with social overachievers, just crack hyperspace pilots. But where else can you ski the Alps with a buzz? It's truly amazing how much time (and money) you can spend here.

    Sympathy For The Devils
The arcade is open to those who aren't old enough to remember Centipede and Frogger until 10pm Fridays and Saturdays. After that, it's 19 and up.
