I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your help in resolving this matter regarding the radiator that was replaced at your shop earlier. I feel that Potranco Automotive did everything they could to help me resolve this matter and honor my warranty, even though i was in another location in Texas and could not get the car to you. I suspect that other companies would not go that extra mile, as you have done. That is why we always brought our car to Potranco, always recommended potranco, and will continue to do so in the future. The customer service i received from Jacob Smith on this issue was above and beyond. Thank you all again for setting the bar when it comes to automotive service. more

Super service 6/17/2011

i recently had an issue with my firebird, they diagnosed i needed a serpentine belt tensioner , of which i suspected anyway byt he noise it was making, not only did they do the work that friday afternoon, they drove me home and picked me up 2 hours later, the bill was good only 80 bucks + for labor, part was same price at any auto store, car is now great , and today i received a courtesy call to check if the repair was good and i was happy, super service, will use again when i have an issue, well done , thanks and 5 stars more

Cheerful and honest 6/9/2011

I had my 98 Toyota worked on for the a/c. It was not cooling well. They dropped me off as usual and called me with an estimate. They really took good care of me. They were cheerful and honest. I have many friends who use them as well as family members and have never once, been disappointed. The shop is always neat in appearence and organized. I would highly recommend them to anyone. more

Honest and friendly 5/16/2011

When you walk in you will be surprise how clean the office area is for a mechanic shop. The men that work there are honest and friendly and look like they are having a good time. They quoted me my rate which was better than expected and when i picked up my car it was even less, they said that one of the quoted items didnt end up needing replacement. It is worth the drive from any side of town for a mechanic you can trust!!! more

Too Expensive 4/26/2011

I was charged $249 to get my rear break pads replaced. I called the dealership and was quoted $179 for the same job but with genuine brand break pads guaranteed for life. I asked Potranco Auto for a price adjustment and was brushed aside with something along the lines of "it does appear that we're overcharging you, I would probably go to the dealership next time too, our prices are set in stone and we can't change them." My impression is that they do quality work, are clean and professional but are way too expensive. My advice, if you don't mind paying more for good work that's close go there. If you want the best quality and lower prices go to the dealership. I'm looking for option 3 - a nearby mechanic that has reasonable prices and good quality work. If you know of one, please let me know. more
