Best

I absolutely love this restaurant. Been there about 4 times over the past 4 months. Everything I've had has been so good and so tasty, its my Italian place of choice. They have ha...

Worst

I was optimistic...trying a new place near where I needed to be later last night...the tomato bisque soup was basically pasta sauce...same thickness, same taste. The calamari left...

Fabamundo! 11/2/2002

Their Ceasar salad with chicken, steak or salmon is the best in town...at the best price. The bread and that dipping stuff are fabamundo! I have eaten there several times with different friends and have had good service & good food...at reasonable prices - it is a good value. I have suggested that the chef of a well-known restaurant in town, check it out and learn a few things. It is a great lunch spot & a place that is easy to get in & out before an evening at the Schnitz or Keller. Pros: Fresh & Tasty Food, Value, Service more

What a Waste! 10/20/2002

Porto Terra is a Hotel Restaurant--and they make sure you know it! The food tastes like Hotel Food, and even the ambience and decor screamed HOTEL! I live in Portland and would have liked to go to an actual Restaurant and was let down when it was obviously not. The food was very so-so and for the prices that is inexcusable. The pasta in the linguine vongole was very overcooked, not al dente, and the pizza and greasy, thick crusted and drowning in processed mozzerella. Again for the price, I felt robbed. Also, at peak hour on a Saturday night the place was empty...I should have known... Pros: Service Cons: Value, Food, Ambience more

Passionate Food 9/19/2002

I had the pleasure of eating at Porto Terra last Saturday night and enjoyed myself immensely. My wife and I got to enjoy the Tuscan food created by the chefs. We had fresh Blue Marlin, organic hierloom tomatoes with buffalo mozzarella, grilled tender asparagus with Parma Prosciutto, and house specialty, veal shank (Osso Bucco). All of the dishes were well prepared, delicate, and great value for their portion size and quality. I am excited to take my boss there for lunch and go back with my wife before a show at the Schnitz! Pros: Fresh Ingredients, Attentive Service, Quality for value Cons: Off bus mall, Too many choices more

Meat on the Bone 7/15/2002

I was very pleased to see that an Italian restuarant knows how to cook a steak. I had the pepper crusted t-bone that was sooooo tender and flavorful it must be compared to Ruth's Chris. My date had a chicken dish that had a sweet sausage polenta which was something I'd like to see offered as a side dish. I'll be back as Arnie says! Pros: Free Parking, Great Food, Pleasant Staff Cons: In a Hotel, Very New, More Meat more
