Polcari's North End Restaurant

I am from the South. This restaurant serves fabulous Italian food at reasonable prices. Quick, helpful efficient service. The bolonese sauce on the pasta dishes is great. The olive oil hot pepper sauce for dipping wonderful bread is a tad spicy but great if you like spicy food. I stop by everytime I travel to and from Boston. Pizza is a popular dish!!! more

Located on Rt 1, easily accessible from rt.128, and 95. My husband and I go there with the two kids. We usually order the same thing, but the menu looks awesome, would like to venture out of the norm someday. We get a Polcari's salad, which easily serves two. The dressing is delicious! If the spicy oil to dip your bread in is a bit too spicy, try the salad dressing. We get chicken parm, done well done, with extra cheese, and extra sauce. No hassle's about ordering it well done , or adding cheese, the servers are always accommodating, and helpful. Have never had a bad experience there, which I think is a great compliment, its hard for a restaurant to be consistent all the time! more

This place has great red sauce italian!! The pesto garlic bread is amazing and this is one of the few italian restaurants where I would actually order lasagna because it is delicious. more

Great authentic Italian food in a family style restaurant. Fresh made pasta is the house specials along with fresh baked pizza with many of the traditional Italian toppings. Staff is very nice and they offer fresh breads with a variety of dipping oils. Plenty of seating for large groups or family. Very nice music played in background all Italian music piped throughout. For dating crowd they also have a section with a bar that is offset from the main dining room so you can have some nice wine before your table is ready or just watch the game.
