Being a new resident to the city I wish I knew what I know now. The crime issue around the Pointe 400 building is bad. Parking across the street for guests of residents is the only thing available and every night at 6:40 p.m. the tow trucks from the city clean out the pay box for the parking lot and clear the lot. I watched this happen every evening. Couldn't have guest come and visit without parking being an issue. And if they parked directly in front of the building the windows of the cars were broken out. \r
We have a security pass to get in but they did not stop a homeless strung out person to find their way onto my floor and pass out outside our door. Most weekends had people passed out sleeping in the lobby couches. The security guards are just for appearance...provided no intervention to problems. Most weekends the elevator floors were coated with beer and other spills and smelt bad. Not what you expect when paying over $2000 a month for rent. \r
Also, another thing to be aware of is that even in the secured parking area there are problems. Had my renewal sticker stolen in the parking garage. I know it was done there because it happened the weekend after I received them and the car had not been moved. \r
Something else to be aware of if moving new into the city is that there is a city earnings tax of 1% regardless if you work in the city or not that is assessed if you live here. \r
Could only do 1 year because the costs far exceeded what I received. Very disappointing experience.\r
Only good things was the easy access to walk across the street to see a game. Go Cards!!
