Needs to clean up the store as well as their staff 9/16/2010

Although when Plato's first opened several years ago I thought it was a pretty cool place to shop, my recent experience has COMPLETELY changed my perspective. As soon as you walk in the store it smells like dirty laundry. Their staff is a bunch of young girls who have elitist attitudes and clearly care more about socializing than helping the customers. While they do have a LOT of merchandise, the majority of it is stuff I would expect to find at Goodwill, not an ""upscale"" consignment shop"" . They are also overpriced for what they offer. I would recommend Uptown Cheapskates if you are looking for a consignment shop in Greensboro. Although they treat you like a criminal by checking your items before and after you enter the dressing room, and checking all the pockets of the items you do buy, they are however a much cleaner store, and not as over priced. Plato's closet is a mess, buyer beware more

The people there were EXTREMELY Rude 9/20/2008

The also tried to sale some of my clothing items, (just shoes, hats and purses) and they were so rude to me. They first judge you right when you walk in. Then they tossed only three of my items (two pairs of pumps and one purse) out of my thirty items and told me that b/c my items weren't a huge brand name that they didn't want them, and only offered me $7.95 for my three items, when all together I paid about 20 something for all three. They were extremely rude and I will probably never sale or shop there again. more

HUGE WASTE OF TIME 6/21/2008

THis place was a joke! When did Glo become a name brand? I didn't even no what that was until I asked someone who told me this was Kohl's brand. They rejected all my Abercrombie , AE and Hollister, what they took I thought was the worst of my stuff. They were rude and instead of folding my clothes back into my bin, they tossed them. So inconsiderate. The place had nothing in it but trashy looking brands. I shouldn't be too upset the girl looking through them obviously had no taste, what with her pants with the panty line. I will never go there to shop or drop off again, What a huge waste of time. Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything more

Best Place For Clothing at Half The Price 11/13/2005

This is the best place to shop and sell clothing. They have brand names like A/F, Hollister and American Eagle. I can go in and find Hollister jeans for 20.00 dollars. Selling clothing is a great way to get money. It is all done on the spot. They do look at the clothing and make sure there are no holes, tears, stains and the items have to be less than a year old along with being a current teen style. They are picky with buying because they only want the best clothing to sell to their customers. I would tell everyone about it, if they want to look good and keep money in their wallet. Pros: Good Selection, Short Lines, Friendly Staff more
