Plantation Gynecologic Assoc

My wife went to this place to test if she was pregnant and it was awful. The Dr. barely spoke to her and he just cared to prescribe her the most expensive vitamins you can find. Yes, those vitamins you can find over the counter for a few bucks. Obviously we canceled the next appointment and we didn't go back. However, we got several bills from this single visit we weren't told about. The most outrageous was the lab tests (that should never have been sent to the lab since we canceled our visits), which they sent to a lab that wasn't covered by our insurance and they didn't even ask us before sending it. Come on, there are thousands of labs and you can't check which one is within my insurance? Our new doctor checks it. So avoid this place as they don't care about how much you pay. They don't care what insurance you have. They will bill you whatever they want without trying to collaborate with you. So, you are warned, avoid this place! more

My experience was so horrible, I contacted the BBB and would give 0 stars if i could. I was not even examined by Dr. Sterghos Jr. so I wont attest to his skill however I went in simply for a prescription for birth control. My friend had already been a client of Plantation Gynecologic assoc and told me the amount they charged her. I asked to make sure my insurance was cleared before I saw the doctor and they told me my insurance was a partner of theirs and that I was covered. My friend came with me and sat through the 10 minute conversation for the prescription. Leaving I went to see if I had a fee of any kind and they told me no I was all set. A month later I received a bill greater than the amount my friend had paid for her services [228$], which included an examination and a pap. I called and was told that the cost for the 10 min. conversation was 400$ and that my insurance didn't cover all of it. I asked why my friend paid less for more services and was told [by the billing and insurance person] that I would have to take a class in billing and coding in order to understand and that my friend did not have insurance but they billed her as if she did to ""work with her"". They would not alter the fees or try to work with me, I would say demand guaranteed costs upfront otherwise they will bill you for whatever they can get away with... more

I have 3 kids that were delivered by Dr. Robert Bass. I had complications during the delivery of my first child which required an emergency c-section. Dr. Bass was paged in the middle of the night and got to the hospital in less than 10 minutes. He was caring and supportive during the whole experience. Dr. Bass is a wonderful surgeon and he has great bedside manner. He spends tons of time with you during the consults and answers every questions. His staff is wonderful. They are super friendly and accommodating. I had a great experience. Pros: Dr. Bass is a great physician and the staff is super nice more

Dr. Sterghos Jr. is a fantastic doctor. I highly recommend him to any woman who wants a caring and experienced doctor. I gave birth in August of 2005. I had my heart set on a natural delivery. But when Dr. Sterghos told me that my son would be close to 10 lbs at birth and that I was not even CLOSE to going into labor, we went ahead and scheduled a c-section. It was the best thing ever! The day of delivery was stress-free and we went into it knowing exactly what was going to happen. It was not very painful and he kept me informed of everything that was happening and what I would feel. He does a great job stitching too - you can hardly see a scar at all! I would recommend this doctor highly. more
