Crispy crust that isn't cracker-thin, many choices of toppings, and some imaginative combinations. Lots of chewy cheese that has real flavor. I'm a native New York City girl, so I am a pizza snob, and it takes a lot for me to give even 4 stars. But I'll buy pizza here, any time I'm in the Westcliff area! Man o man...I have been coming to this spot anytine I am nearby anb I get my PMS Special...I am a guy so it has nothing to do with that time of the month...It is my tasty pepperoni, mushroom, saussage combo that is AMAZING!!!! Just as great as the pizza is the entire staff of the Pizza Bakery. Furthermore, it is hard to find a nicer and more giving owner than John who provides a ton of pizza for charitable and school functions throughout Newport Beach. I read a comment that said the pizza tasted like a shoebox and was told to go to bj's for better pizza.....what a lie!!!! I've been a customer ever since I was a kid and I have to say their pizza is better than any dominos pizza hut or BJ's PERIOD!!! And because nobody was there was cuz he was there late night and we all loooove to eat that delicious pizza in the comfort of our own home. Bon appeti! more

I went to the pizza bakery on a Saturday night, not a soul in the place, that's always a bad sign, and ordered a Large pepperoni, fresh garlic and mushroom pizza. What I received was Absolutely void of flavor, tasted like a shoebox and cost me $24. I've been burping up the undigestable pizza brick for the past 2 hours. . The uncaring staff seem to be more concerned with gossiping then putting any effort into a pizza. more

We have been going to the Pizza Bakery for well over ten years now. It is definitely the best pizza in town. My husband and I go there and each order a slice -- they're giant and very filling. When I'm not in the mood for pizza, I order the spaghetti, which is plentiful and also delicious. The Pizza Bakery also has pre-made salads, which are a meal in themselves with lettuce, a cherry tomato, peppercini, radish, bell pepper, garbanzo beans, kidney beans, and cheese. The owner, John, is such a nice guy. He is always very patient with his high school employees and so kind with his customers. While we wait for our pizza slices, we enjoy the dough knots, which when fresh from the oven are tasty, tasty treats. We cannot say enough great things about the Pizza Bakery. My boyfriend and I decided to try an a new pizza place, I should of known better because when we got there the place was deserted. The decor was wierd too, pictures of children on the wall at an italian place didnt really go with the decor. The service was ok but the pizza was way overpriced, we wanted to subsitute chicken sausage for regular on their supreme pizza and they charged us extra - $26 for a large pizza is rediculous! I think typically people get customized slices here where the cooks take a cooked plain slice, put toppings on and heat it up together to make your order. They have unique toppings like goat cheese and ricotta cheese. If you like unique pizzas this is a great place, and you don't have to order a whole pie. You can also get pies, but they take longer. The seating area is pretty big and informal (you pick up your slices at the counter) but it's decorated nicely so it makes you want to stay longer and eat your slice there rather than just quickly take off with it.
