I go to the Bloomingdale, IL location for cuts and I love it. Under the direction of the instructor the student cuts my hair EXACTLY the way I ask. It may take more time but for less than $15 for wash/cut/style & tip who cares? more

If you are willing to lend your hair to student stylists for a discounted price - this is a good place to visit. I have not visited any other branches of this school so I don't know how this one compares with the one in Evanston. All I know is that I would rather go somewhere else. The decor is not the best and they don't really do what you tell them. All I've gotten done was an updo and it was decent but not spectacular. I prefer this location for its spa services and its student estheticians. They do a fantastic job for a great job. The cheapest facials you can get around that actually make a great difference. My favorite is the combination face and BACK facial. It's like a facial and massage in one - very relaxing. Definitely something worth treating yourself too. They will give you samples. They sell skin care products as well and use many of Dermalogica's products in particular. more

I don't really like this branch of the school that much. They don't do as good of a job on their services and the students don't seem as educated as they are in the Evanston School. The teachers also don't seem as involved. The wait of course is really long and if you have the time and patience, this is the place to go! more
