Best pitas ever! Not too expensive, but still quality food! Amazing hummus and Chicken Shawarma! Pros: Price, food, parking Cons: Too far from Northwestern's Campus :-p

It's OK, but if you want really excellent food drive east a couple blocks to BASHA 9/11/2006

Pita Inn is OK. It did spark my love for Middle Eastern cuisine, however, because of the long, long, long lines I found a cute little place down the street, BASHA. Basha is a family-owned and operated place and all the food is made-to-order, while you wait. Pita Inn's assembly line, mass produced format turned me off. To me, part of the experience when experimenting with other foods is to see how its done. Basha has a big, open kitchen and you can see exactly what's happening, talk to the cooks and maybe get a recipe or two. Pita Inn's stacks of chicken and mounds of falafel just don't do it for me anymore. I've brought many people to Basha who have sworn by Pita Inn and they've fallen HARD. You really can't beat the prices at Pita Inn, but I'd rather pay a little more for the better quality and atmosphere at Basha. Pros: It is cheap eats, a great introduction to another culture Cons: Too mass produced for my style, plan ahead for big crowds and waiting more

exceptional food, low price, fast service 4/27/2006

This is by far my favorite place for middle eastern food. Pros: Very good food, low prices, late hours more

I love this place! 6/16/2004

This place is great! Their food is delicious! Ilove to eat their Chicken Sandwiches. The chicken has great flavor. Just recently, I have tried their Falafel Sandwich and it tasted really good. My family and I really enjoy their food. The place is always crowed especailly during lunch time because of their lunch special (three types of meat served w/rice and pita) which is really inexpensive! Pros: Great Food, Inexpensive more

Yum! 6/13/2004

There is little more that I can say than the title. Pita Inn is probably the best inexpensive Middle-Eastern cuisine in the Chicago area. For under 20 bucks you can easily feed a family of four and probably have some leftovers to boot ( at least of the salads: hommos, tabuleh, babaganoujh, etc). They do not skimp on the pita served with the salads either, which is also exceptional as many of the alternatives to Pita Inn only include a few pieces of bread and make you pay for any additional. Pros: Tasty, relatively Healthy, Inexpensive Cons: , Location more

Best Homous 5/21/2004

Pita Inn not only has great food, but it's pretty healthy as well. My children love it. The fact that it is not expensive is certainly a draw as well. It is always crowded so I suggest calling ahead to place your order. more

superb! 2/8/2003

The Pita Inn, always good, always packed! This place serves up some of the best middle eastern food, served semi fast food style - Order at one counter, pick up at another, but this isn't fast food quality. Everything is prepared fresh, and spiced just right. And the prices won't kill your walles at all. Decor is bright and and your ears are always trated to middle eastern music. Since this is a rather small restauant, I recomend pick up durring peak dinner hours. And for those inspiring to cook with a mid east flair, there is a shop across the way that will allow you to take hope essential spices to create you own mid east masterpiece Pros: Inexpensice, very clean, good parking Cons: small menu selection, limited seating, always crowded more

Exotic foods on a budget! 8/12/2002

Great food here, I have to recommend the Hummos, the Baba Gannouj and the Baklavah as some of the best you'll find in the city. Their chicken tenders are also excellent, and if you're looking for a chicken sandwich, you could hardly do better, and almost certainly not more healthy. If you're looking for a full dinner plate, though, go with the combinations. Try the chicken, Shish Kabab and Kefta Kabab combination. It's not on the menu, but they welcome substitutions. If you're a tea drinker, don't skip this one. It's a great mix of black and mint tea, very refreshing, and a great accent to everything they have. There are no waiters, though they do bus the tables for you. BTW, no CC's, but they do accept checks. On weekend nights, order ahead if you are planning to take it home. The lines get long on date night! Pros: inexpensive, healthy, tasty Cons: crowded more
