The old office manager is gone and the new staff and manager are great. They are helpful and take the time a patient needs. poor customer service 12/2/2007

There have been several secretaries at this office that have been very nice, Crystal comes to mind, but what there is now is poor. My son likes his doctor and this is why leaving this practice so hard. The person running this place, Alice is a nasty person. It was bad enough when she was rude to me in front of my son, but she was also to another patient and then made rude remarks about this other patient to the staff which I could hear in the waiting room. I have never seen this behavior where I have worked or at any other office. I hope I can resume with my doctor...elsewhere. Pros: My son's doctor Cons: office manager more

Worst office staff I have ever seen. 11/4/2007

I should have reviewed this office online. My 2nd appt. was ""lost"" and when I went in, I was told that I didn't have an appt. I showed the receptionist (Tammy) my appt. card and she told me that she was the one who made the appt. but didn't know what happened-and then asked me for the card. I told her I would keep it as it had their phone number, etc. She then told the doctor that I just showed up for the appt. and he happened to mention to me that Tammy told him that I just showed up. I showed him the card and told him that I did have an appt. so I don't know why Tammy lied to me. I just had surgery a few weeks ago and couldn't make my appt. and had to cancel that day. The receptionist told me that since I canceled that day, I would have to pay a missed appt. I told her that was fine, I just couldn't make it in. I had an appt. today and had to cancel because of my work situation and spoke with Tammy again. She noted that I would have to pay a cancel fee and noted that it looked like I already owed one. I told her that I understood but I didn't have a choice, I could not come in. She then stated that I shouldn't have made the appt. if I couldn't come in and asked why I even made the appt. I told her that I work during the day as a mgr and if I had an employee not come in, I was responsible to work that shift. I asked if I could go to the office located 10 minutes from my house vs the 1hr drive one way and she told me that she would check and get back to me. She called back within 30 minutes and asked if I could make it in later today. I told her again that I could not and asked if she could get me in to the other office. She put me on hold for 30 seconds and got back on and told me no and if I didn't come in asap, I wouldn't get the meds I needed. I scheduled an appt. and verified that I was speaking with Tammy again and she noted that it was Tammy and then hung up on me. Needless to say, I will not be making my next appt. Horrible service! Negotiable Service at Best 10/22/2007

I would guess the team in this office were a bunch of high school kids if I did not know otherwise. The supervision/management of this pack of heathens must be poor to non-existent. I have a hard time understanding how a group of professionals could permit such behavior from their staff. Further, this is an office that provides psychiatric/counseling services. One would think the staff would be comprised of carefully chosen individuals with some training in this area. Maybe the docs don?t want to pay for that kind of staff. \r I am familiar with Alice. I have had a couple of confrontations with her. When speaking with her, she left me no other alternative than to become firm with my words and tone. I don?t know whether she is overwhelmed, or simply inept. Insurance billing seems to be beyond her comprehension. \r As for the remaining staff, I?ve not had lengthy conversations. I?ve only received grunts, and hm-hmm?s as ?you?re welcome.? Regardless, I try to remain polite and courteous. Sheesh?.and I?m the one that?s nuts!!! The Worst Office Manager 2/5/2007

I had the worst ever in my life office experience with Pinnacle Behavioral Health. I had dotted all my I's and crossed my t's, before I got there, after speaking initally to the office help in making an appt. The office manger Alice, lied, was rude, screamed at my daughter. We were both asked if we understood English and if so, could we process it? This was in front of a waiting room full people. Unfortanately, my daughter and I liked the Dr we saw, however, he backed up his office mgr. We were treated so poorly. Whatever happened to : Hi , I am Alice, the office manager, how can I help you? We are here to help you and make things go smoothly. \r I could easily and I do chalk up to rude people as it being THEM with the problem, their life, how you act is how you get treated and she obviously has major problems, but , she made us feel horrible, so put down, so uncomfortable, that I HAD to say something.\r If I were a Dr in that practice, I certainly would hire either a company or fire exsisting staff and train them to treat paying clients with respect, use some manners, and realize our patients are human beings, they deserve to be treated kindly. I guess in this office the office manger ALICE is what they are looking for, otherwise she would be retrained, on probation or gone. \r I do not go to places looking for a ""fight"". My intentions of going were to help my daughter. Secondly, help my husband get his reimburstment quickly. My intentions are always good, until I encountered ALICE.\r It's a shame because the people in need are not going to get the help they need because a woman who has been given too much power.\r Unfortunately, my daughter really liked the Dr, but I do not feel giving his office one red cent of my money to be treated so poorly by an office worker.\r My insurance rep was so nice and helpful and she got the same treatment from Alice. The worst office management I've ever seen!!! 1/24/2007

Our doc is fine, but the office staff is a real problem. They're curt, don't relay messages reliably, shut down their phones for an hour for lunch and at 3:30 despite the fact that they're open until 6 (so if you suddenly can't make a late appointment you can't call and tell them), don't have a refill line (so you have to try to call during their limited phone hours), and during off hours don't have a way to relay a message on their answering machine since there's no voice mail. Their excuse is it's a busy office, but there're only like 4 docs there!! Definitely look elsewhere. Pros: parking: it's at Mt Carmel East. Our doc is nice! Cons: Everything else! more
