Grood place to drink, but NOT to eat. 3/31/2008

When my friends and I arrived for our 8:30 reservation for a large party, we were not seated until 10:00. There were no appologies from management, which made it seem as though this is standard practice for the pink taco, We were all starving at this point and they gave us barely enough chips and dip to go around. The people watching was fun and the drinks were very good, especially the margaritas. But they were not as good as the margaritas at Z Tejas, located just across the street. The consensus from our group of 10 was that the food was generally bland and a bit mooshy. One person, who had the salmon, was very pleased with her dish. Overall, I would suggest going to the pink taco for the cocktails, but nothing else. It is not worth the hype. I believe that if they were not located in such a convenient location and had so much publicity when they opened, they would already have closed their doors. more

Such an awesome place! 10/7/2007

Me and my girls go to Pink Taco every Friday night after we get off work and it gets better and better every time we go in! I always start my evening off with one of their margaritas. They're so delicious! I've been to enough bars to have my taste refined when it comes to margaritas, and Pink Taco knows how to make them! Their food is absolutely divine too! The service is always fast and everyone that works there is so great. They seem like the kinds of people I'd wanna go hang out with instead of being served by! more

Not worth it 4/22/2007

Not my kind of mexican food, the kind of place that serves tacos with no cheese (seriously we had to ask for cheese). The enchiladas looked (and tasted) like creamed baby food. Not all bad though, the margaritas were pricey but very good and we really liked the decor- it was fun. If your looking for mexican food that is good cheap and has cheasy goodness, this is not the place for you. Pros: Good drinks, nice atmosphere, funny name Cons: Small portions, pricey, not good food more

Not worth the hype 1/4/2007

We arrived & greeted by a friendly employee who gave us a pager & told us that at the wait was 15-20 mins. Within 10 mins we started our lunch adventure quite happy that the wait was half that.\r \r Everything then went down hill. We sat in a very uncomfortable booth & waited for our server to come by. My gf said it looked like it was decorated by ""avid garage-sale hunters from Nogales,"" we both liked the decor though. Our waiter finally came over & asked if we wanted drinks. We both ordered one & we also put in for an order of the queso bean dip. Within about 5 mins we got our drinks & a few moments later waters arrived. 10-15 mins after ordering our bean dip arrived sans chips, plates or any way to eat it. Our server & the guy who brought out the dip out said that we would get chips soon; but didn?t for 10 mins. Plates arrived a few mins after the chips with an apology that there aren't ?too many plates in the kitchen.? We decided to split the carne asada platter that comes with a cheese enchilada, rice & beans ($16) which came out fast, but again we had no plates to split the dish. Also, this platter doesn't include tortillas! We were finally able to track down our waiter & ask for some, which were then rang up as a side. The tortillas didn?t show up after 10 mins so we decided to dig in, at which point our waiter showed up with a plate so that we could finally split the lunch with now warm, rubbery steak.\r \r The guacamole that came with lunch was tasty & the various salsas that are brought out to the table are also good. At no point in this meal were we approached by a manager to see how our experience at this br& new establishment was nor did our waiter ask us, although he was very good at asking if we needed more liquor the three times we saw him. I finally told the waiter to cancel the tortillas that never showed & his response was ""okay I will take them off the bill."" We had to hunt down a hostess just to pay the bill & get out of there!\r Pros: lots of drink choices Cons: lack of silverware and plates to serve the food on more

The Best Mexican Food outside of Mexico 11/16/2006

Wow. What a pleasant surprise! I'd read all the hoopla about this restaurant and the one in Vegas, and didn't know if I was getting my hopes up or not, but gratefully it lived up to its name as far as the food was concerned. It was delicious. I absolutely adore real Mexican food, and was pleasantly surprised at how masterfully the food was prepared at the Pink Taco. The chips and salsas they served us with our drinks were the best chips I've EVER had anywhere. The word ""Delicious"" does not fully describe them. We had 2 baskets of them. The salsas were fascinating with my boyfriend and I selecting our favorites and coveting them.\r \r The margaritas, while touted, were not nearly as good as a Mexican restaurant where I live does them, but they were fine. And for dessert we had to try the fried icecream. It was excellent. I don't normally indulge in this treat, but it was definitely worth it this time.\r \r The service was okay, and of course Monday Night Football was on, so that was a plus. There was a nice crowd, and I really enjoyed the family-style seating near the television. It made it all the more fun. Pros: Food was great and the chips are the best anywhere. Cons: Margaritas are average as is the service more
