I, like many others, decided to try Pink Cheeks because of all the hype. I was a bit nervous, as a first timer, but Cindy made me feel completely at ease and was done in about 15 minutes. I must say, the receptionist was a lot nicer in person than she was on the phone, but that's about the only thing I can complain about. The atmosphere is very inviting, cozy and the rooms are set at a perfect ""drop your drawers"" temperature. You must check out the bear ""hidden in the wood"" in their bathroom! Very Cute! I was disappointed 2/22/2006

I had heard great things about this place and have been eager to try it, I've been waxing for years and have yet to settle on a favorite place. I found the receptionist to be rather harsh and uninviting. The wax options seem to be all or nothing, thats a small detail. I also found that the ladies are so quick with the wax that it's almost carefree. They don't tweeze some of the hard to get ones and leave uneven lines and some stray hairs. I have heard nothing but great things about this place. The owner doesn't do any advertising and it's all word of mouth. Went for the 1st time today for my second ever bikini wax. My friend introduced me to Pink Cheeks and I have never had such a PAINLESS WAX. ANDREA IS INCREDIBLE! She gave me a brazilian wax in 10 min. and did the whole thing using only 6 strips. I have to warn you that the wait can be long. There are usually 3-5 people in the waiting room at anytime, but it is well worth the wait! IF there is anyone who has had a bad experience at Pink Cheeks, there is obviously something wrong with THEM! Cindy, the owner, is the best at waxing!!!! I have never felt more comfortable and at ease, when it comes to getting WAXED! It literally takes about 10-15 minutes and you end up chatting away the whole time. I can honestly say that it is virtually painless! I don't live anywhere near Ventura Blvd. and I make the 45 minute commute to go there...and only there... One of the best waxing experiences ever!! 10/19/2005

Cynthia, the owner, is the sweetest and most gentle waxer for anyone, from a beginner to a seasoned waxee. She has a marvelous talent in making you feel extremely comfortable in what could be a very uncomfortable situation for a first-time. And the best thing is that the waxing itself is done in less than 15 minutes. I had my first full-Brazilian 4 years ago here, tried others, but ultimately came back to Cynthia and have no intention of going elsewhere. I LOOOOOVE Pink Cheeks 9/26/2005

I've been going to Pink Cheeks for almost 8 years now. Cindee does the best waxes ever and I've had waxes in high end salons in both US and Europe. The place is spotless and the attention to detail and decorum is wonderful with a new detail you missed the last time you were there. Cindee has taken care to cultivate a comfortable loving atmosphere that makes the wait pass by. Be sure to check out the Sear's catalogue from 1945. Best Highlight? She has a totally engrossing conversation with you from politics to pop culture and you don't even notice the waxing until she smacks you on the bum to signal you're finished!!! Great Place 9/13/2005

This place was GREAT! I had never had a waxing but this place is for beginners or experts of the ""waxing"". The place was clean and warm. It was a relaxing atmosphere and smelled so good! I was waiting for no more then 10 mins and then I was sent into my room for my service. My tech. was soooo friendly,sweet,nice and made me feel comfortable. The service was so qiuck! Don't miss out on this place 8/17/2005

There have been some nasty and untrue rummors about this place. Here is the truth. One of the girls that was a waxer was terminated (she did not leave). How do I know you ask? I know the owner. I've been getting waxed there for 6 years. The girl that was let go was terminated due to inapropriate behavior with customers both male and female. The owner is a great, hard working lady. There may be a little wait if you have no appointment, but I've mainly gone on my lunch break with plenty of time to get back to the office. The waxing technique is great and fast. They use great linen strips and the wax is always at a great temperature. Don't let an angry ex-employee ruin the best waxing experience you'll ever have. The people are friendly, fast, and make it as painless as possible. Cindy is the best, very professional and caring. Shop is cute, very comfy w/lots to look at. Looooooong wait 4/25/2005

My bikini wax was great once I got it. It lasted a long time, and was very thorough. I finally got in a full hour after my appointment time. It was insane! It wasn't even a holiday or anything. I'll definitely go again, but I think I'll call ahead to see if their running on time before I go in. Pros: Good waxing Cons: Long wait more
