I stumbled upon this find with a local school auction win; I had always wanted to try Pilates. In a short series of classes, I felt a noticeable change! With a few more classes, I felt sleeker in my over-40 body! I was amazed at how much fun I was having too! Trisha and Jesse worked me hard while making me smile and laugh as the hour passed. I find myself missing the camaraderie almost as much as the expert instruction. Pilates takes mental energy and the descriptive approaches given and encouragement along the way are best in class! Thank you to Cassidy and her tremendous staff! TRY THEM OUT! more

Best Workout for 10 Years 4/1/2009

II have been going to Laura Mulrenan at Pilates By The Park for 10 years . As an adult male, it is the only consitant workout I have ever had and it has kept me in the best shape and feeling great since I first started. The staff is all very knowledgable and keeps things varied so it is always fresh and challenging. more

The Most Amazing Pilates Studio 8/26/2008

I can't rave enough about this studio. The instruction is of the highest quality--even after a few months I became much stronger and my body changed dramatically. I am always challenged mentally and physcially, but also always feel safe and that I am not risking injury. Each session is customized to your body type, abilities and needs, so you get the most out of your workout. The location and parking are convenient, and the space itself has a great energy. Whether you just want to add something different to compliment other physical activities, or you want seriously intense pilates, this is the place! I wish I would have tried it sooner 8/31/2007

As a typical guy, I had been weightlifting and hitting the gym since high school. I would go through phases where I would lift hard and get big, only to be followed by the inevitable lag. I guess I never thought about my workout regimen, I just did it that way because I'd been doing it for so long. I went to Pilates by the Park about six years ago and it changed my entire body (life)! At first I thought it would be more of a spa or yoga-type experience but Laura quickly showed me that Pilates is actually a GREAT workout that is so much better for my body than just weight lifting. I feel flexible, strong and so balanced. I still lift weights once a week, which is a perfect complement to doing Pilates twice a week. I boxed for awhile and Pilates gave me the balance that kept me on my feet longer. I'm better at pick up football and soccer games because I can actually control my body in motion so much better. Pilates is a great addition to any guy's workout and the added flexibility and abdominal strength has been a tremendous benefit. If you want to be toned, lithe, limber and STRONG, then Pilates is king. Pilates by the Park is perfect for men and women and all the teachers there really know what their doing. Best exercise experience ever 8/3/2007

I began working with Laura (owner) at Pilates By The Park a few years ago. I showed up with the specific goal of wanting a dancer's body and with Laura's guidance, I achieved that goal and much more. My pilates trained body, good posture and the grace with which I now carry myself as a result of working with Laura has prompted many, including close friends to assume that I come from a dancing background. (Of course my lacking of any real talent is evident on the dance floor, but at least when I'm standing at the bar, I look good!) Pros: Professional trainers. Reasonably priced. Beautiful studio. Best Pilates Studio 8/3/2007

I first went to Pilates by the Park because of it's convenience to my work. The studio owner, Laura Mulrenan, was very professional and helpful. I had never done Pilates before though I had been doing Yoga for over 10 years. I was able to join a group class, which was my preference, very quickly after my first session there. Laura is a wonderful teacher and has a very professional and comfortable studio. She is always looking out for the well-being of her students. I highly recommend Pilates by the Park to anyone interested in Pilates, whether beginner or experienced. I hope to continue being her student for many years to come. Pros: Everything more

I take private lessons with Laura (the owner) at Pilates by the Park and she's always been very patient and skilled in helping me with my training. The studio is great and there's always a nice, relaxing vibe. I would definitely recommend her or any of her teachers to anyone. Pros: Great studio, great instructors, convenient location more

I have been taking pilates with Laura for about 3 years and have had great results. Her instruction is very professional, and focused as well as fun. I have had pilates with other instructors here in LA as well as in other cities while traveling, but she is the best. She is also very reliable and never cancels and never late. more
