the views you will never tire of. layers of clothes are recommended, even in the summer it is a good 30 degrees below, what summertime is in the Springs. I recomend the donut and coffee mug special, not for the taste but the experience. the dense donut does not rise well because of the high altitude, but is not to bad. the cup you get to keep as a souvenir and its fun to take the cog railway if you have the money, or just pay less , taking the pikes peak highway off highway 24 past manitou springs, and take a leisurely trip to the top, stopping wherever you wish to take fantastic scenic pics with your cam. watch out though on the way down the mountain, stop at all the brake stops and appreciate that your breaks can get real hot coming down even in first gear, but its a fun experience for the whole family.
