Best pizza out there 11/22/2009

I've lived in Salt Lake, D.C., Boston, South Korea and the Netherlands... I've had pizza in New York and Chicago, and this is the best pizza out there. The pies are huge and they pile on the ingredients. The pull-aparts are amazing as well. Love the Pie. Pros: Taste, ingredients, portions more

Excellent 4/6/2009

Their cheese bread is to DIE FOR. The pizza is good. It's quite good, but their cheese bread is amazing. Anytime I feel like pizza, it's the Pie every time. College atmosphere, young, hip, fun. Never tried East Coast pizza but as far as Utah pizza I think it is excellent! Pros: Fun, not too expensive, great atmosphere Cons: usually really busy on the weekends more

The Pie Rocks 3/16/2009

This is a favorite of mine every chance i can get to downtown salt lake - it reminds me of my days at the U. Pros: Best pizza downtown Cons: too many high schoolers trying to be cool more

A Little Overrated 3/5/2009

I have lived in Milwaukee, Chicago, and New York. So I have very high standard for pizza. I had the thin crust (which in the cities aforementioned would be considered more regular crust). All the ingredients were high quality, but the pizza was lacking spice and had just a little too much cheese. A small tweak would make this an outstanding pizza, but maybe this is the best in SLC as I have never had outstanding pizza in Western USA. Pros: relaxing, good tunes Cons: parking can be hard to find more

Best Ever!!! 3/28/2008

We moved here a few years ago and I was afraid to try this place because of the dumpy Ogden location, but, once you get past the run down building they have the best pizza in town. If we move again it will be the one thing I miss from this area. They are alot more expensive than most and don't offer any type of coupons or deals but it's worth the extra prize for a real treat. Pros: Great Pizza Cons: A little spendy, more of a college type scene, most workers can be seen smoking outside I just hope they wash their hands. more

Surprise Discovery! 7/18/2006

My friends have been recommending that I try The Pie Pizzeria to get the best pizza in town. I finally went to the basement location by the University of Utah. The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious, and we had a lot of fun. This was a surprise discovery of a restaurant we will return to. Pros: Excellent food, fun atmosphere more

Love this place! 9/2/2005

I love this place if, for no other reason, the ambiance. I love that you can write on the walls, pick a song from the jukebox, watch some tv, and hang with friends while eating yummy pizza and drinking beer/soda/beverage of choice. Pros: Ambiance, Food, Atmosphere Cons: kind of slow, a little noisy more

Much better the 2nd time around 7/27/2005

My wife and I tried this place just after we moved to SLC; about 3 months ago. We were disappoined, as the pizza was a little greasy and underdone. Maybe because it was so busy. We always give places a second chance, and went back today. The pizza was superb! The root beer floats with home-made root beer and ice cream were excellent too. more

Imagine-better than Los Angeles 7/7/2004

This place is fantastic - boy are we lucky to have such excellent pizza so close at hand. I like the veggie supreme - expecially the olives - yum. Great sauce, crust. Pass on their version of the calzone - didn't measure up to Big Apple Pizza's calzone on 33rd south. Too soggy, weak filling, cardboard crust. Would like to buy a hat and advertise for them - but it costs more than the pizza - WHAT IS THAT? I like their frequent flier system , but I'll be dead before I earn enough ""points"" to get a free pizza - oh well - it's better than ANY pizza you can get in Los Angeles. Pros: pizza, ambiance, value Cons: , "calzones", cost of merchandise more

Historic Landmark 5/22/2004

I have been going toThe Pie for 25 years. It never changes. The food is consistently excellent and I always have fun. Pros: consistent, entertaining, delicious food more
