I'd go Bac haha. but only in a pinch. 11/18/2010

Happened to work out on a cold wet dreary monday afternoon when I should've been doing a million other things I set out on a quest for good pho (really good soup). Found it at Pho Bac. 3 out of 5 stars but still better than you can imagine. Watch out for the fatty cut's of meat. They are not shy with portions FYI. more

For cheap Pho only 12/17/2009

This place has pretty decent pho with a good variety of beef cuts, and it's ready very quickly. Everything else I've had here is mediocre, though, and the service is terse and not very helpful. You'd think they'd do better in the thick of so much competition. Still a decent standby. Pros: Good pho Cons: Mediocre everything else, including service more

RIPOFF 2/8/2009

Dirty place.\r And who in the world charges 6.45 for a medium bowl of pho.\r The economy is down. Oil prices are down. A lot of restaurants that increased their prices because of high oil prices increased their menu items, and now that the very reason why they increased their prices is gone, they still keep their high prices, and in fact, even raised their prices. Pho Bac is no exception to this.\r As a result, I will no longer come to this establishment.\r Let me tell u guys. 6.45 for a MEDIUM bowl of pho is a ripoff. If you decide to add in tip for subpar service, and you're paying 8 bucks for a wimpy of bowl of noodles.\r Don't go here. Trust me. Pros: I'm seriously not sure. Cons: Price/Service more

Never disappointed 11/24/2008

Love this place! I?ve eaten here dozens of times and have never been disappointed. The menu is very reasonably priced ($7 will more than satisfy) and the service is fast (in and out in under 30 minutes!). However, if you?re expecting a fine dining atmosphere, this is not the place. It?s very informal which makes it the perfect lunchtime spot. I highly recommend the Pho tai (Vietnamese rare beef & noodle soup) or the Pork Banh mi. The best in town!! Pros: Tasty food at a great price more

bad food, dirty/nasty environment, bad service - everything is a disappointment 9/3/2007

the food made at this place is very disgusting, atleast 2 times in 1 week - customers complained about the service and there's crockroches in there bowl of soup. There are millions of 6 legged buggs - crockroches and other kinds of bugg-s in the kitchen, and those workers there DO NOT wash there hands after they pick their nose or scratch their body parts. In the back of the restaurant, workers are very careless, when food dropped on the ground, they just pick it up and clean it with an old dirty rag, and put the piece of food that had dropped back in the bowl and pretend nothing have happens. Not only that, the water they claimed to be clean and all that, is not very clean at all. The water is being hold inside of a bucket, and worker there put there whole hand inside the bucket and get the water, sometimes use the water to wash their hands - which explain why they use dark color glass/cups - so we, customers, can't see what swimming inside of the water. \r the service is horrible, and the workers there are rude and perverted. There's a lot of moles and other bacterias in their fridge in the front, and the back because noone ever clean it. So, please if you don't want to get sick - then don't ever go eat here.\r - very bad for kids because the workers there constantly saying cuss words, and unappropriate comments about ladies' body parts. If you really care about your kids, don't ever take them here. Pros: nothing is good Cons: everything is bad more

great authentic food 1/13/2007

If you want to go somewhere casual for a very inexpensive dinner with great food, this is the place! I got this recommendation from the Vietnamese lady who does my nails. I asked for the most authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Atlanta, and she pointed me in this direction. When I went there to eat, she was also there, eating with her family. The food was delicious. I had a noodle soup, and my friend had a barbeque chicken over rice, and both dishes were great. I strongly recommend this restaurant as good value for money. more

bad contomer service 1/8/2007

DO NOT go there if you want good service. The service was below ""below"" average. Very unprofessional more

Average food, but totally disguisting environment 6/17/2006

This ia popular Vietnamese family dining location because it is cheap, with big portions, and traditionally, Vietnamese do not have much of an expectation of environment and cleansiness in Vietnamese restaurants. I travel all over the country and do want to see different ""Little Saigons"" in every major city and dine in their restaurants. Sometimes I find a great one. Other times, a real dudd. Atlanta Pho Bac is a real disappointment. I was there for dinner and while I am eating, three guys sprayed water on the floor of the adjacent tables and started to sweep wet mop the restaurant. This isn't using a mop - but using a broom to brush clean the floor while flinging water around - an admirable effort - but during the dinner time. Then I saw a server picking his nose as he was leaving the kitchen with someone's food. I don't care how good the food is, but if the owners don't care about controlling this environment, I fear what the back kitchen looks like. The food was average, the service was abrupt, and the environment is horrendous. If you want a peace of mind dining, do not come here! more
