I only had to get a few things at the store, however was impressed with the staff. They know their products and can make suggestions based on what you need. The other thing I liked, is that there were very few customers at the time. I was able to get in and out very quickly, getting what I needed. more

We bought our Nikon CoolPix, which, by the way is the fourth camera we have purchased from Pete’s – for ourselves and as gifts, and it was a great experience. The unfortunate thing (if there is one) is that the well-informed sales assistant, John Wombacher, has left Pete’s and moved to Maine ? However, they are all very educated about cameras, from our ‘point and shoot’ to cameras costing thousands of dollars. And friendly is an understatement. Here is a short story to demonstrate the customer service we always receive from Pete’s – About three months after purchasing our Nikon, the power switch fell off, we took it to Pete’s and they sent it back to Nikon for a repair under warranty. BTW this was 2 months before we were leaving for Hawaii and we really wanted to take our camera. About 3 weeks later Pete’s called and told us that the Nikon service department said that our camera must have been dropped and it would cost $113 to fix, I knew the camera hadn’t been dropped and explained this to the service manager, he told me he would call Nikon back. The next day he called and Nikon was going to fix our camera under warranty. 3 weeks later we had our camera and have wonderful digital memories of Hawaii. more

Pete's has everything for photography from the novice to the professional. You can pretty much plan on any unit or accessory being available from Pete's. They are extremely knowledgeable unlike the box stores and will likely point you in the right equipment direction based upon your needs. Prices can be a little high but they'll negotiate and take trades. more
