WORST PLACE FOR PETS!!!! 4/6/2010

I took my puppy in last week and was told it was 75.00 just for the consultation. After they took him back i was then greeted by the receptionist with a 500 dollar agreement but was told it would be more. I was then told how much I could afford and If I could even afford the 75.00 dollars wich was offensive. I told then the amount I could afford and was told the Dr would come in to talk to me. After the Dr came in all she said was your puppy is very sick. REALLY???? why else would i be there? WOW I was then told i would have to pay more money (600+) up front for them to diagnose my puppy, All they care about is money and was told to start calling everyone so I could hand over my money I was charged what I told them I could afford and left there without any idea of what my puppy had and did not get any thing in return. The next day I took my Puppy to a REAL vet and he told me within 5 minutes that my puppy had parvovirus and was treating him cause it was a serious condition. What a difference in approach when they actually tell you what is wrong and not give me money or we wont trreat your pet. I would not recommend taking any pets there unless your filthy rich and want to hand over your money to incompetent people who just care about money $$$. It was just a big waste of my hard earned money and time, I got nothing in return just more grief and pain for my puppy. Pros: NOTHING THEY ARE MONEY GRUBBING HEARTLESS PEOPLE Cons: ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY NOT THE SAFETY OF YOUR PETS more

HORRIBLE 10/24/2009

PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM!!! I have 2 separate cases of Dr. neglect. The first case that I was forced to go to P.E.C. was on 1/7/09 with my boyfriends cat. He was having seizures and after having lengthy conversations with the vets and technicians my boyfriend and I decided that he wanted CPR done on the cat if needed but we wanted phone calls on any changes to the cats. If there were anymore seizures we were to be called and we would send poor Marco to heaven with love around him. After no phone calls all night we called the hospital and said he had another seizure but they had sedated him and he slept comfortably all night and we could go down there and pick him up. We immediately went down there. The Dr. came in about 15 minutes later to let us know that Marco had passed. When we said we wanted to see him they brought him in and he had rigor mortis. What this means is that Marco had passed even before we had called them and the doctors and techs had just assumed that he was sleeping. I am a trained veterinary technician and also worked in an emergency setting where I was alone without a dr. there almost every night. On a critical case such as Marco's he should have been checked every few minutes for heart rate and respiration rate at the VERY LEAST!!! Knowing that rigor mortis takes time to set in I know that Marco layed in that cage dead for hours without the 2 Doctors or any of the staff (at least 6 technicians) knowing he was gone.UNACCEPTABLE!!!! Cons: everything more

Emergency pet clinic 4/4/2009

So, my dog got stung by a bee in his eye, I had to take him to my regular vet and he performed the surgery...I was able to take him home the same day, but wasnt given any medication from my primary vet. I called the emergency clinic, and they told me to bring him in....because i had just been to the vet they gave me a dicount (instead of $75, i paid $50)...however, i waited forever, then they took my dog back without me, the DR gave him 3 shots, for pain, sedative, and antibiotic....then they front desk lady brought him out to me, and said your total is $250....WHAT!! I never said to give him those shots, what i made very clear to the front desk girl, is that i want to the DR to see him, and tell me what he thinks would be best.....but the DR took it into his own hands, and I was the one who had to pay the bill....then I waited for almost 2 hours so i could just talk to the DR but he was too chicken to come out, since he knew he was in the wrong...you cant just give dog medicati Pros: Hot Dr and have meds Cons: read below more

Saving pets lives is what they do! 2/17/2009

This place is a life saver, literally. From the friendly receptionist to the nurse,Claira, who took great care of my baby all weekend after being struck by a car. The staff was friendly and knowledgable. They took excellent care of my Sabrina and I could never repay them for what they have given me, more time with my pet. I must admit, prices are steep but it was worth every penny. Even though they were always busy and had several critical patients they made sure that my baby was happy and pain free. I'd recommend this place to anyone who loves their pet! Pros: service, knowledgable staff more
