the worst customer service ever 2/6/2012

I have had great experiances with other pet smart store groomers, but I will never take my dog back to the Pet Smart in Yonkers, They are iincompetent in reading the papers that were brought in for the rabies vaccination saying that my dogs vaccination had expired when it didnt. And after the Vet at Banfeild (their in house vet) told them thay were wrong, the arrogant manager still insisted she was right...took my dog groomed her, knowing she was wrong.....and still insisted she was right, NEVER NEVER again.... more

Groomers Are Terrible 11/28/2009

We brought out puppy to the groomer at Petsmart for a haircut and ended up with a half-shaven dog with a bloody gash on his leg. Apparently their staff is not properly trained to deal with animals that actually move during a haircut because they claimed that the puppy's movement is what caused the groomer to accidentally cut a long gash in his leg. They brought him into their on-site veterinarian to patch up the gash with surgical glue and gave us antibiotics. The made it a point to say that we will not have to pay for these services. Are they kidding?!? I thought this was obvious and it did not need to be said. Of course we are not going to pay for their neglience. When we asked about finishing the grooming next time, they said we will have to pay the full price to finish the job. When we said this was absurd, they continued to blame the puppy for moving and said they had to mildly sedate him when they were patching him up because he was jumpy. Ahhh...do you think it had anything to do with the fact that you cut open his leg? I will never go back to these butchers! more

Poor Grooming 7/6/2009

I booked an appointment for my pom to get his first cut here. I told the groomer to give a him a short cut all around and they told me he would be ready 3 hours later. I return 3 hours later, only for them to tell me to come back in 20 mins. He wasnt ready until 30 minutes later. When he was returned to me, his underside was still damp, and his cut was horrible, completely uneven all around. They gave him a sad little bandana, but I think it was only to distract from the unevenness of the cut. \r For fear of having them ruin it even more, I left the store without comment and went home only to attempt to even out his cut. I should have spent the 50+ dollars on investing on my own pair of clippers and do it myself. It's like they literally took one cashiers off the register to do the cut (although, that reminds me, the cashiers were too busy discussing the events from the night before to even attend their customers) Dont waste your time or money here! Cons: Bad cuts, long wait time, poor service more
