Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

Don't waste your time here. Our food was served cold. Our home fries looked like someone had already eaten half of them. There was literally like 10 potato chunks on our plates. Way, way overpriced for the service and quality of food. On my way to the restroom I glanced into the kitchen and it was absolutely disgusting. Trash and food everywhere. The restroom was even more gross, looked like it had never been cleaned. Trash everywhere, no paper towels. They say you can judge a restaurant by the way they keep the bathroom - enough said. I can't believe this place is even in business. more

I will have to admit that over the years Perkins Restaurant and Bakery in Greenville, SC on Woodruff Rd has had their rough times over the years. I have visited the restaurant a number of times since their opening about 10 years ago. Quite a few times we received below quality food or service. I recently returned with family during the Thanksgiving holiday and have to say that I was quite impressed. The food quality and presentation was exceptional, and I am always a sucker for their muffins, pies and other bakery deserts. Upon paying, I asked if anything had changed recently that caused such a drastic turnaround. The lady at the register said there was new management in place in the kitchen and it was making a world of a difference with the food. Anybody that has been to Perkins in the past and had a bad experience, I encourage them to return for another visit and see what Perkins is really supposed to be like. Anybody who is looking for a new place to eat, give them a shot. Their food is amazing when cooked right and whatever they are doing in the kitchen now is working. They have exceptional staff working the breakfast and lunch services. In my opinion, their breakfast is better tasting and higher quality than places like Dennys or IHOP. more

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery is an ok restaurant and bakery. I am giving them three stars, but I am not impressed with their food. Once we had to wait an ungodly amount of time for our food, and when we got ready to pay, she asked if everything was ok. I told her about the wait time, and she said, "Oh, yes, I know abou that." Well!!! No apology, no anything. Ticked me off. At any rate, I am recommending this restaurant at three stars. That was a while back, and maybe they have changed. more

I love the omelets. They change their menu often, which is another thing I like about them. more
