Perimeter Clinic: Rikhter Alex MD

My family and I have been clients for years.. until a recent BILLING DISPUTE. Doctor's office made a MISTAKE and are refusing to accept responsibility. Doctor/ his staff are ignoring calls and messages and are bullying/threatening with collections. Very unfortunate and unprofessional to say the least. BEWARE of this clinic and the rude and money hungry staff and doctor, who turns out cares more about a payday then a patient. more

Dr Rikhter has been my primary doctor for nearly 5 years now, and I have never known a better one! He involves you in your treatment, listens to you, gets to know you as a person, not just a case. He ALWAYS takes time for you-- I have never once felt pressured to finish. His office is friendly and efficient. A knowledgeable and kind man. I wish the world had more people like him! more

Although Dr. Rikhter was attentive, and I gained what I expected from a "Doc-in-a-Box" visit,they do NOT try to help those out-of-work and uninsured as they state. I was over my coverage and unemployed when I received by bill from Perimeter Clinic. They charged my insurance DOUBLE what I would pay as an uninsured patient, and accused me of lying. They are refusing to let me pay the $95 that an uninsured patient would pay, and instead want me to pay $195! Beware. In this economy no one can afford these kinds of lies. more

Dr. Rikhter has been my primary care physician for over 9 years and while my insurance has changed and no longer requires a PCP, I still go to him for every need. He is very patient and takes the time to explain each and every procedure or possible treatment. I highly recommend him and believe you'll like his practice. It's very personal, straightforward and convenient. more

Dr R is respectful, attentive, patient, careful, and speaks plainly. I'm no MD but my wife and I both otherwise highly educated, we both like him and have confidence in him. more

He is the best primary care physician I have ever had. He is very competent, kind, and most importantly caring. He has helped me with several issues outside of physical illness that overall effects my health. He has almost always been available for me when I needed an appointment (only one time was he not able to take me the same day). He has always offers an array of different possibilities to get well such as: natural remedies/medications as well as the normal OTC or antibiotics but only when necessary. He is not the type of doctor to deplete your body's ability to recover from a serious illness by continually giving out antibiotics as many doctors do. He only gives antibiotics if absolutely necessary so that if there is ever a real illness that you have to have antibiotics to get over, they will actually work; he does always offer to prescribe them if I "want" them, but I ALWAYS trust his opinions. He has a lot of compassion and always remembers my situation regardless of how long it has been since I have seen him. I have had several other PCPs and he is by far the best and I would not trade him for anything. I will not have insurance he is not associated with and if that were the case, I would see him regardless of coverage as I always feel confident that I am getting the best care and he always includes me in the process of my diagnosis and my treatment plan. He never rushes me in and/or out, even when I am a worked in patient, he always gives me adequate time to discuss any issues with him even if it is not completely medically related. He is the BEST. The only "problem" I have ever incurred is that he is so soft spoken that I had to ask him to repeat himself. And I do agree his nurse is AWESOME, unfortunately she has gone home but the do anticipate she will return. The new nurse is very nice too but I do prefer the old one. more

I really like this doctor. He talks very softly and I often have to wait a long time to be seen, but I feel confident that this doctor is knowledgeable about all types of medicine. He has recommended natural remedies, over the counter medicines, and written prescriptions for me. He has a very nice nurse as well. I did get upset when I called once and was told the doctor would call me by the end of the day, but never did. I had to go into the office the next week because I just kept feeling worse. more
