Beware! These guys do miserable work and do not stand behind their repairs. You will wait for hours and you might as well have your repairs done by elementary school students. When you discover that their work was inferior, they will blame the parts, the weather, you or the government, but they will never admit that they did it wrong to begin with. There are lots of other choices out there. Do yourself a favor and pick one of them! more

I am elated at the experience I just had with this pepboys location. I called several tire providers and 2 other pepboys yesterday to get 4 new tires. This location was 45 minutes from my house. I was leaving this morning to go out of town and needed new tires ASAP. I spoke to Richard the service manager on the phone. He answered promptly and had awesome energy and I could tell he really enjoyed his job. He answered all my questions and spoke to Tony in the background to ensure I would be well taken care of when I arrived because he was leaving. He wanted to make sure I was aware of the specials and went out of the way to make my experience enjoyable. When my hubby and I arrived Tony was there to greet us immediately and ensured we got everything I discussed with Richard about. Tony answered several more questions I had about my alignment and wheel bearings. The tires were put on efficiently. They even loaded my previous tires for me. I am willing to drive 45 minutes out of my way to patronize this place because it is rare to find this type of service anywhere these days, thanks so much more

This place is the biggest rip off place I have ever been to!! I took my car in to repair a broke fan belt and they ended up putting a hole in my radiator! They tried to say it was my fault but my radiator was fine before I brought it in there! The workers have no idea what they are doing!! I would never take my car back to these people! more

My alternator broke 1 1/2 miles from my daughters house in Raleigh. I had to have it towed to Pep Boys, considering it was the 4th of July and I was from out of town, I was sort of stuck. I called them and told them to do nothing until it was checked and out and what it would cost. We knew the belt was broke but my husband was concerned that the power steering pump had frozen up also and wanted to make sure exactly what was wrong. He didn't want just a new belt if that wasn't the entire problem. They called me back and said yes the belt was broken, and since there were 3 belts that ran the car, it was a good idea to replace all three. That sounded logical and we agreed. The price was !87 quoted to us. Three hours later they call to tell me that my hoses were on, but that my radiator was leaking from the top seam really bad, and it was going to need a new radiator, new thermostat three or four more things and the total was approx $1000.00 . I asked them what was wrong with the radiator since it had not run hot, there was no water or radiator fluid on the ground where it was sitting while waiting for the tow truck. They said well it was leaking when it came in and thats what is wrong and it needs to be fixed it cant be driven. We took my daughters car and went there. We found out when we were there that it is not leaking anywhere near the top it is at the bottom. We then find out that they did a pressure test on the radiator that we didnt authorize, never even spoke about anything wrong with the radiator when they called to tell us about the belts. They put so much pressure on the radiator it blew out the little drain cock at the bottom of the radiator and it is pouring out water. #1. They had no business touching the radiator without calling us first. #2. They were rude as hell and t hought they were dealing with someone who was just going to pull a thousand dollars out of her pocket and give it to them. #3, The manager was absolutely useless, he gave me two or three different versions of why and how the radiator was leaking. #4. I am not sure if they delibrately put so much pressure in it it would blow thinking that as a woman stranded out of town I would have no choice but to fix it at there rip offf establishment. I fully intend to find out who the general manager is and talk to him about This. I expect them to pay to have my radiator replaced and If they don't I intend to take them to court. I am sick and tired of these kind of establishments taking advantage of people while being rude and doing unauthorized things that end up costing me money and time that I would not have to have done if they hadn't screwed my car up. I am disgusting and I will fight this for years if I have too. If they don't pay for the repair they caused, I will write letters to the editor, take them to court and send a complaint to the better business bureau. They are a rip off and should be put out of business. Not one good review has been seen on this page. Gee Wonder why not? more

I came in on a monday to get them to fix why my engine light wouldn't go off and ended up coming back tues and wed.I was charged 600dollars and my car still wasn't fixed on top of that each day I came in at 8 and didn't leave til 3 so I am pissed because some of the ppl who work there don't know how to treat a customer nor how to do their job.they all need to go to mechanic school and learn how. to be professional.so I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. more

I had the same experince as Charlie Mack they quoted almost double the price on a radiator job as other places! more

I called around to see who could fix my radiator. I had several prices from different shops and all of them where in the price range around $230-$240 Well when I called Pep Boys in Garner on hwy 70. They told me the price of this radiator would be $520.00 When I asked why they stated the radiator need a special attention. When I explained I only need a radiator installed because I actually have a new radiator they stated the price would still be $480.00. Please don't go to this place. They are a bunch of SCAM mechanics! SHAME on you Pep Boys! Pros: It was local Cons: They're try to rip you off! more
